Well, now that I've had time to think about it, I really like what Chicago is doing with their team. A proper rebuild. I wish we kept the 13th pick

Goddammit that seems like a lot from the Habs side to me. Puke.

It’s not Romanov and 13. It’s Romanov + 2nd round and 3rd round. Not so bad to get Dach.

Edit: I’ve been corrected. It’s Romanov + 3rd and 4th. I’ve always liked Romanov, but if he’s expendable, then go for it HUGO.

I'm not sold on Slafkovsky for reasons often cited but obviously we will root for him to succeed. Dach though, I dunno it could be a buy-low big time win but there are so many downsides to both the Slaf and Dach moves.

Some cowboy moves from HuGo...
My girlfriends grandfather owns a shitload of real estate in van like over a hundred million worth and he said to me ojce “if you take no risk you’ll make no money”

It's awful. Ds take longer to develop. Our only proven young NHL D gone for a "projet", basically Chicago's KK.

And people were laughing at MB for his size fetish.
Right. It's crazy how Gms overrate Size. Like talent doesnt f***ing exist. Anderson is big and just a fat fast brick with no talent except rushing the net brainless. Dude can't even make a pass

If Dach already proved his potential, he wouldn't be available lol.
This is a buy low opportunity that hopefully pays off.

There goes Savoie. That 13th pick trade doesn't hurt too much. I wanted him a lot.

He has a safety net called Connor Bedard if the moves doesn'T work ;)

There's a reason Chicago was willing to dump Dach for scraps. The guy has a bum wrist and was never all that impressive offensively. If they passed on Wright or Cooley because they knew they had Dach in the pipeline at C then it's IMO a stupid gamble. And if Slaf ends up an Armia type because his speed and low IQ are not up to snuff in the NHL (which is, honestly pretty likely) then this will look even worse. Sorry if I am not elated we are banking the next 10 years of this franchise on gambles and hopes and dreams.
