Pointing out the schedule favors Canada isn’t all that upsetting. It’s just a fact. You guys seem really defensive about it. I know, times are tough up there.
Is there anything about the U.S TEAM that you could talk about that might be of some interest to us all? Maybe something around what you expect out of certain players/ roles players will play/ play style you expect/coaching/weaknesses of the team versus strengths?

Seems more applicable and interesting IMO and would be interested to hear.

The IIHF needs and wants the money. Thought America was the home of free enterprise.

Yeah, times are really tough up here in Canada lol, however I go back to the tone and content of your original post 683 and note that it probably isn't really as professional as you might like it to be.

Enjoy the WJC

Well that's been riveting....

Even though it's a watered down tournament, it's nice to have the WJC back. We should beat Germany comfortably, but I'm most interested to see which way they go with the goalie, and how that goalie performs. Onward!
Once again, apologies Bonney. Agree I don't think you will have a problem with any teams other than Finland, Sweden and Canada.

Looking forward to finally seeing Bordeleau play, my first look at Stramel and see how Cooley comes along.

You are the only person who seems upset here. Maybe log off and touch grass for a bit?
I think it’s time to find a new trolling trope to use. Go out and touch grass? Gotta be one of the most overused comebacks when you don’t have any other legs to stand on.

I didn't ask for a list of host countries.

I asked for proof of your claims that Canada manipulates the bidding process.

I don't mind Canada hosting so often, and really don't have any gripes about the schedule. But it is an odd practice to allow the host nation to set the schedule. Why can't it be done by a the IIHF? Doesn't the home team have enough advantages?
In 2011, I went to the WJR's in Buffalo and I spoke to a person at US Hockey (I think it was the gentleman who died a few years back - Jim Johannson???) who was scheduling the games - it was over the phone. Because I was worried about getting from work to Buffalo in time, I said, "Please give Canada the late games". He said, "Talk to TSN. They want ALL of the Canadian games at 5".

My guess : TSN, and the big bucks they pay for the World Juniors, have more of a say than anyone else.

A Canadian game at 6 pm EST will provide TSN million of viewers that TSN hopes will continue to watch throughout the evening.

Ok now that we chased off all the Canuck posters....game time shortly! Though this isn't the same as December excited to see international hockey again and the red, white and blue proudly flying around on the ice!!

Bordeleau like others have said is my favorite pick to win MVP. Pulling for him big time here.

Is Bordeleau's line considered the #1 line. I would think Cooley's line as ultimately more effective
