Gonna be really interesting to see who makes the team/ gets left off in August compared to January. Maybe a better chance of seeing some of the 04s outside of just Cooley.

Names left off the Jan roster I think could push for a spot: Perrault and Tverberg (dual nats get sorted?), Behrens, Ufko, Doan, Biondi, Nazar, McGroarty.

I wonder how they’ll handle preparing for the 2023 WJC, as this is the usual summer showcase time. Maybe an expanded summer camp with more younger players invited.

Guys like Beniers, Sanderson, and Commesso not there. I have to imagine it's because they're locks and with such a big camp to pick 2 teams, they're getting the break.

No Perreault either. Would be weird to still have a passport issue.

I believe it’s one big camp for both rosters, summer and winter.

Interesting. Beniers and Sanderson I figured we’re losing regardless to NHL. But Commesso would be a big loss for us, hopefully him opting out is just a health issue or Something and he could play in the tournament.

Beniers and Sanderson opted out to prepare for NHL camp. Commesso from what I read opted out to prepare for BU season and per Blackhawks recommendation he skip it.

I wonder if Thomas Bordeleau backs out of does not report to the USA camp. He had a great showing with San Jose late last season and would be the only forward off that list with the potential to play in the NHL this season. Might want to prepare for the NHL season vs. playing in the summer tournament.

Also larger chance of getting injured a losing a spot on his NHL roster depending on the length of injury. Same rationale why Beniers isn't there - he has his spot in the NHL. Why risk it?
