This team also blows defensively and having a lot of young guys coming in doesn't help with that. Adding Puju for some 2-way play isn't a bad idea. Kinda like what Corey did in the simulation article where he created 2A/2B lines where one is strong defensively and goes against other teams' top-6 lines and second one is more offensively oriented and tries to feast on 3rd lines. Edmonton's goaltending and defense is a mess, so something along the lines of Reimer + another piece for Puju sounds like a good idea to me.

Adding the "4 million" part definitely changes the calculus for me lol. I wouldn't pay someone 4M who can't score...

I don't believe trading Kane is a possibility now. That ship has sailed, and if we recall, Sharks tried to trade him for dirt cheap with no takers back then.

The ship that's in port is looking at how much the settlement is, and what of that amount applies to the cap.

There's a few articles saying if Kane's contract gets put back on San Jose's books Edmonton may want to reach an agreement where Kane get's sent to San Jose while we take like Kassian + something back. That's a possibility considering how he fit there during the playoffs.

Mine would be vastly different:

Some stupid GM takes Erik Karlsson off our hands for a bag of pucks. We could use that cap space to become a much better team and I would never have to watch him play for my team again.

now that things have escalated to camping outside and recording who comes in/out of their house, i'm starting to think that the trust in this relationship has broken down

Curious what the return will be. If Minnesota gets a lot then I understand why the Sharks aren't in on this, however, if the return is mediocre, there isn't really an excuse for them not to be involved.
