How thin up front is Winnipeg right now - Blake Wheeler is out for the next month after groin surgery today so for now they've moved Karson Kuhlman up to the top line. Their top 4 RWers are Kuhlman ( 3 points ), Sam Gagner ( 8 points ), Jansen Harkins ( 4 points ) and Axel Jonsson-Fjallby ( 2 points ). Sweeney should call them and offer up Smith immediately.
Make that 10 points for Gagner

Edit: and that Axel guy just scored...cancel the call

OK - so now Sweeney lowers his asking price. One 1st round pick instead of two is still pretty good and we'll even include a " gently used " Mike Reilly.

I like to check the Leafs Out Of Town thread to see what they are saying about the Bruins. They actually haven't said much lately but they are obsessed with Edmonton - does anyone know why? I can only think they think Matthews is better than McDavid or something like that. It is weird.....I am just curious since they are in different conferences. I would ask them but I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate it....

As @Gee Wally knows I have tried my diplomacy with the Toronto board after having success with the Montreal board. :surrender

Leafs fans have a sense of entitlement and arrogance that is beyond my compression.

Leafs fans are obsessed with comparing players, because they can't compare playoff records. A Rocket or Art Ross trophy is their Stanley Cup.

It's good to see the recent losses by Toronto and New Jersey. They have been hot on the B's heels despite our great start. I was beginning to wonder if they were going to sustain their paces. Hopefully they start stacking up those L's.

Leafs should be more worried about getting passed by Tampa at this point then catching us. We’re 6 up with 2 games in hand. Tampa is 3 back with 2 games in hand and they play each other next.

I know the presidents trophy isn’t very lucky, but I’d prefer home ice in the playoffs.

The President's Trophy winner wins the Cup at a far higher percentage than any other playoff seeding.

So I’ve heard. That’s why I’m not against winning it. We’re so good at home we should be gunning for it.
