If it's a scenario where Gaudreau's heart was set on PHI, and he can't bring himself to sign in NJ, I'd keep up the charm offensive and give him even a few days to come to his senses. If NJ has the best offer on the table, you simply can't move on until Gaudreau signs elsewhere. Don't want to jump the gun just cause you're so afraid to miss out on Palat, who's waiting to see where Johnny signs first anyway.
