It's funny how much the Kotkaniemi move hurts this team's cup chances. Losing Trocheck really is a blow for the Hurricanes, and he's only getting $700,000 more than Kotkanoemi. They're going to have to utilize Kotkaniemi on the 2nd line, and I've seen no evidence he can handle this role.

Ross Colton will be a Devil.

Tampa will keep him for this year because he's a great value on his ELC, but next year I'd offer them Foote's ELC to take on Colton's raise that they can't afford.

There's a Ranger fan supposedly in the know who said he's coming here as well. He said yesterday it's between us and Philly but he would take a bit of a discount for Philly but not a huge one. I questioned him and then he messaged me today saying it's done and he also told me earlier Trocheck to the Rangers on a sizable deal
