If Bratt really wants to be paid more then Hughes then Bratt can go kick rocks. I love the player but him & his agent are a pain in the ass in negotiations. He should be getting the Nico contract. If he really wants to be paid more then Hughes then package his ass up for Tkachuk.
I don't think it's Bratt more than his Agent trying to squeeze as much money from Fitz as possible.

In the end, I think Bratt re-signs but it won't be at 8 million.

I really think Bratt gets Nico's deal.

This is not the full picture. You're buying out more UFA years and fewer RFA years on a max-term Bratt extension, so the value is naturally increased. If Hughes was signing his contract at Bratt's age, he would have cost more.

We are getting a bargain on Hughes, Bratt we will have to pay market value for.

@Bleedred , what's your take on THIS deal? lol
The goalie regurgitation and recycling program strikes a

He's burnt crispity.

37 years old, 2 straight poor seasons.

I really didn't expect him to play in the NHL this year, but here we are. You can never rule it out with the goalie regurgitation and recycling program that this league is a part of.

He probably won't play much with Igor in front of him, so it's probably not a crushing move.
