People saying this was a need pick don't seem to understand that there was no consensus at the top of this class and that Wright was largely ranked #1 on what he did two years ago rather than being the best prospect in this class. Nemec is a very acceptable pick and could easily be the BPA on many team's boards.

Surprised Wright's fallen this far. I can't remember where I read it, but it stuck with me a bit that someone said watching Wright the past few years in the OHL it looked like he wasn't progressing all that much year-over-year.

Maybe it's just me but I think that stuff can be important. The draft is all about projection, it can be difficult to predict how these guys will turn out years from now but if you're not seeing much growth in juniors then you may be banking on more growth post-draft to be an impact NHL-player.
