Best D in the draft, guaranteed top 4 pick. Hard to hate it. Wright may have been BPA, but this is probably better for NJ. Maybe there wasn't a trade there, and we weren't willing to trade Wright for not getting nemec. If that's the case, right move.

This to me was a wise pick. It was a position of need and getting the best defenseman in the draft. I was very impressed by Nemec but I'm even more impressed by Fitz having the balls to pull this off.

I wanted Slaf or Nemec. So I am pretty happy. I greatly preferred Nemec to Jiricek, so really happy we didnt go in that direction.
