This is a really good pick guys. I like Wright, but I had Nemec right there in terms of value/fit - especially for us.

Lessens the concern about RHD in the org too with Hamilton/Sevs as they age (and with Sevs future being longer her a bit uncertain still).

It took serious cojones to pass on Wright. Reading the tea leaves from the Devils, I never felt they were particularly interested. I’m sure they wanted to trade down a spot or two but just couldn’t find a workable deal. While I preferred Jiricek for the unicorn potential, Nemec’s floor is MUCH safer than Jiricek.

You can get that for less than the asset value of the 2nd overall. This is getting caught with your pants down and spinning it as a team need when that need has 70% of the value of the BPA in trade scenarios.
