If we were at 3 or 4 I might honestly consider Cutter over Cooley or one of the defensemen. He's closer to Mason MacTavish than he is to Brendan Othmann. He's a legitimate top ~5-8 talent and does have some very unique traits the rest of the top-10 doesn't have.

But absolutely not over Wright or Slaf.

I mean if our scouting department had a Yzerman-like track record I'd be more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt but so far Fitz's draft record has been...spotty. Sure he got the gimme with Mercer, who almost anyone could have picked at that point but the other first rounders and high picks have been very iffy to this point.
