I got a weird vibe on Wright. Doesn’t look like a player that gives it his all / does whatever it takes to win. Plenty of scouts said it looks like he is just going through the motions while paying and the effort just isn’t there.
I honestly think if Habs go Slaf, we pass on Wright and take someone like Cooley / Jiricek / Nemen or trade down and take of of those.

The Devils staying at #2 and taking anyone other than Slaf or Wright would be ridiculous. Fitz would literally be putting his neck on the line for whoever he drafts here, even more than the Shak reach.

Cutter is a great prospect but I really don't see a way anyone could justify taking him over Shane Wright, if in fact MTL takes Slaf as it's currently looking like they will.

I don't think we're going to take him at 2nd overall, but my initial reaction even before I read your post was ''FIRE EVERYBODY'' which is the title on @RememberTheName profile.

Taking Cutter Gauthier at #2 would be a complete failure in absolutely every single facet of scouting. That would probably be the worst pick made in the top 5 I have ever personally witnessed outside of Barret Hayton at #5.

If the Canadiens take Slaf I will be disappointed in one respect but then we will still have the opportunity to take either Wright or Cooley who are both going to be incredible players. I know the Devils need wingers more than centers, but either way we are going to greatly improve the team. Be happy with whoever the Devils take.

I think you can shift Wright to the wing with ease. I think Cooley's a bit harder since his style is like Jack and suited to the middle.
