why is Chicago doing this? Shouldnt the young guys be the ones to build around? If you are going to blow it up, trade Kane

Dach's young but he really hasn't been good like at all. Maybe they don't like him much and are hoping to get something else instead.

I'm kind of bearish on Debrincat. Like Tkachuk, a lot of cap and two major assets for a guy who is good but not great.

Fair but I am moreso talking about this coupled with potentially trading Debrincat

I mean Debrincat's not a guy you build around. This rebuild is going to take a long time. He's not going to want to stick around. Dach in theory is a guy you build around given the age and draft pedigree but you don't build around him if you don't think he's good.

I thought the Flyers declined a trade for Debrincat for pick #5 feel if it’s too much to give up? But now people think we will have to add to pick #2???
No way if that’s the cost.
Pay pick#2 plus another piece have two years (or is it 1 ? ) of control , then have to pay out the ass for him ?
No .
Fitz sayig we need to her heavier , plus not wantimg to trade for a player that you don’t have much control over = he won’t trade (hopefully not) for the Cat.

All things being equal, I'd much rather have Gaudreau than DeBrincat.
Absolutely. Gaudreau would be the perfect winger for Jack. A massive reason Gaudreau went off this year is because he didn't have to be the primary puck carrier on zone entries. Jack's elite at this and only going to get better. Those two together would be magical.
