The case could be made for taking Nemec or Jiricek as well - if we knew we could land a top end UFA like Giroux up front.
Though having Slaf up there with Stutzle would be awesome.

I would do 7th and the early second. I’m not giving up anything substantial
 
I'm fine with Cutter Gauthier if he's available. Could be a great fit beside Stutzle.

Gauthier-Stutzle-Pinto

That gives us a great young top six. If we can snag Miroshnichenko as well oof our top 6 is gonna be scary.

I like Gauthier's physical tools, but I question his awareness and intensity. He's got that Logan Brown quality where he doesn't move around much when he doesn't have the puck on his stick. I also find he doesn't do enough to put himself open for shooting options, which as a goal scorer isn't the best look. Not to mention his spot on the ice is the exact same as Norris', so I'm not sure if he's a fit here. I won't be mad if they take him, but I'd prefer them take someone like Yurov if he's available. A much more intelligent player, better skater, and far better defensively.

Should also note that Noah Warren has an 82'' wingspan. Crazy stuff.

For note 6'8" Jack Sparkes has a 80" wingspan, and 6'7" Mav Lamoureaux tested a 79.75" wingspan.

A bigger wingspan is definitely an advantage in the defensive zone.

I hope so, although my first choice would be Jiricek RD if he falls to us & Gauthier second.

I like Lekkerimaki if both Jiricek & Gauthier are gone, he would be a decent sniper for them at RW, but I also like Geekie as another big centre who could help them at playoff time.

Anything is possible & we have seen it before, not every team will have the same rankings. I'm optimistic it will happen but if it doesn't there are other decent choices.

Talk about doing their due diligents. Hopefully they have a great draft, we could use one. If they draft a forward with their first, IMO they go after Luneau & Warren with their next 2/3 picks.
 

USHL may have some decent players available late 2nd , 3rd and 4th round.
Names I like are Dylan James (LW) , Cameron Lund (C/RW) , Nick Moldenhauer (RW)
One of those guys could be a steal.
Adam Ingram and Ryan Greene also look like good prospects

All good points. I worry that someone like Jiricek or Nemec drops and we wouldn't take them anyways. I hope we would but after last year all bets are off.
 
It will be interesting to see where McGroarty goes in the draft. I think he would be a solid addition to the Sens prospect pool.

I doubt the Senators would pass up on Jiricek. He plays a style the team loves, big, mean, excellent defender, and great on the breakout.

I personally have him 3rd on my draft board though, so maybe I'm saying this just because I really want Ottawa to end up with him.

Can’t see them passing on either of the RDs

A. It would be a near miracle if they dropped to us
B. They fit into the depth chart perfectly. They’d be the perfect pick
