I agree. I think any team who can afford to make a risk should snag him.
It will be interesting to see if the Sens start taking bigger risks in the draft now that we have a fairly deep talent pool.

I'd argue they started taking bigger draft risks with Boucher last year.It will be interesting to see if the Sens start taking bigger risks in the draft now that we have a fairly deep talent pool.

I would do 7th and the early second. I’m not giving up anything substantialA lot

The case could be made for taking Nemec or Jiricek as well - if we knew we could land a top end UFA like Giroux up front.
Though having Slaf up there with Stutzle would be awesome.
I would much rather this than my offer.
I hope so, although my first choice would be Jiricek RD if he falls to us & Gauthier second.I just think he checks so many boxes the Ottawa Senators have been looking for, I don't even know about the PLD comparison, I just think he is the exact kind of player the Sens absolutely fall in love with and covet
I hope so, I also expect that Korchinski could sneak into the top 6.He seems like the most likely bet of the consensus top 5 guys to fall given his injury.
If Gauthier goes top 6 and Korchinski keeps rising, I could see Jiricek being available at 7.
I like Lekkerimaki if both Jiricek & Gauthier are gone, he would be a decent sniper for them at RW, but I also like Geekie as another big centre who could help them at playoff time.I read today Lekkirimaki have grow in some team in the top 3. Top ten would be lot of surprise in the order this prospect to be pick
Anything is possible & we have seen it before, not every team will have the same rankings. I'm optimistic it will happen but if it doesn't there are other decent choices.2 teams would have to go off the board. Can’t see any of the top 5 + Gauthier falling to 7.
Talk about doing their due diligents. Hopefully they have a great draft, we could use one. If they draft a forward with their first, IMO they go after Luneau & Warren with their next 2/3 picks.60+ interviews so far for the Sens

I doubt the Senators would pass up on Jiricek. He plays a style the team loves, big, mean, excellent defender, and great on the breakout. All good points. I worry that someone like Jiricek or Nemec drops and we wouldn't take them anyways. I hope we would but after last year all bets are off.

I personally have him 3rd on my draft board though, so maybe I'm saying this just because I really want Ottawa to end up with him.
