I know it’s completely wishful thinking but if a team within the top five really like Savoie or Jarmo is his typical self and takes Lekkerimaki or Kasper it might change the complete dynamic of our pick.

I’m not even going to think about any of the two RD slipping to us but you never know.

Again, seems like we played ourselves out of the clear top six selection drop off.

Savoie and Kemell are both great players. The Bobfather had them ranked 3/4 on his mid season list and chances are one of them is there when we’re picking.

I’d agree with most others in this thread and argue it’s a clear top 7

Yeah I agree there’s a clear top seven, but I’ve already mentally prepared with my assumption that Savoie isn’t on our radar so I’ve omitted him.

The more i look into the draft the more obvious that Gauthier is our guy. He is built in the mould of exactly what we look for in the draft. Late riser has all the tools, I think he will be a great fit on Stu wing.

My wishlist

1. Jiricek / Nemec
2. Kemell / Lekkerimaki / Kasper

Any one of the D followed by anyone of the forwards.
I would be ok with other choices .. just my preferences.

Hoping for someone to slip thru into the 2nd
Goyette, Odelius, Ostlund, Chesley, Kulich, Firkus

I don't think there is any team that picks Wright over Slafkovsky. He is like a bigger Hossa. He is more noticable against team canada than wright is against North Bay. Anyone see that back pressure where he picked off the pass and turned back up the ice and sent the winger in alone? Major Hossa vibes.

Slafkovsky and Nemec playing well against Canada, but draft eligible Adam Sykora has been really impressive half way through the game. Dude wasn't even on Bob's midterm list, but he will be a riser.

Anybody hope for Brad Lambert? I know he has dropped but this guy could have been a top-3 pick with a different draft season

And Sykora has to be on our radar for the 2nd round

But realize they are too small/too skilled

I hope Montreal or New Jersey don't pick him but they'd have to be stupid so I don't know, our Sens life sucks. Why couldn't we win the lotto for once?

Unless it finally happens in 2023? We miss the playoffs by a few points but still end up with first overall? Just after the team got sold? Can we have nice things?

Lambert at 7? He has the talent to go there but I think he slips outside the top 10. I don't think he slips to the 2nd round.
Sykora should go in the 2nd.. all depends on who else is there.

This draft seems really tough to predict with so many high end euros. Lambert was unreal in the WJC games I saw.

Lambert is going to be on quite a few teams No Draft lists, and he'll probably be on a few teams top 10 lists. I would imagine he goes somewhere in the 15-25 range

Sens really should be going to Europe for their pick, the European crop is much more impressive than it's NA counterparts outside of Wright and Cooley.

Kemell, Kasper and Lekkerimaki are all above Gauthier/Savoie/Geekie for me. I do like the NA D much better in our range though, Jiricek and Nemec are the only Euro top 10 type picks and they will be gone, if we wanted to go that route. Mintuyuk and Korchinski are extremely strong top 10 contenders. Yurev would be one of the best players skill and impact wise, but his situation makes things very murky.

Wouldn't mind Korchinski's teammate Jared Davidson as one of our 5th-7th round overagers.

Yes his stock has dropped for a while but I don't know, I could see this Stu line being sexy as hell in a few years

Tkachuk - Norris - Batherson
Greig - Stutzle - Lambert
Formenton - Pinto - Brown

Islanders at 13th is certainly the Vegas odds favorite for where Lambert lands as of 20 or so minutes ago, though the connection was there already, just not as prominent

I could see it. He's always reminded me a bit of Barzal in terms of playing style, at least when he's at his best.

They took Raty in the 2nd last year (not 1st obviously lol) so they arent scared of fallers.

Absolutely one of the best at the WJC. Have to really look past his team movement and inexplicably low stats in league play to pick him early. His combination of skills and skating are enticing. I agree we should look to the Europeans for the pick at 7 and we can get a very good player.

I like Gauthier too, but would have no problem withy any of those, especially the D.

Kasper is one of my favorites in this draft class.

The European group is strong.

my dog growing up was named Kasper so i hope we draft him simply for that reason.

Gauthier would be acceptable if we go F from the NA group. I think all 3 of the Euros bring a little more deft skill. I don't think Gauthier compares to Kasper in his ability to drive play as an example but Gauthier is a good finisher and a good playmaker .

I agree. I think the team needs another play driver and Kasper would fill that hole. We have some similar players to Gauthier in system, a little euro flair would be a nice add.

His uncle was just made Head Coach as well

From where I sit, Slafkovsky, Cooley and Nemec all look like better prospects with higher upside than Wright.
