Ever heard of potential? Google it
Wow, choosing to double down instead of realizing comparing two guys because they have the same height is ridiculous.

Bro you know what he’s trying to say
I mean what is he trying to say? 2.0 means better than the original. Obvioulsy Savoie will not be Brayden Point. But to say that he will be better is just hilarious, out to lunch, delusional, crazy, etc.

The Point comparison for small forwards is is so overused.

Savoie doesn't even play similar to Point. Nazar plays much more like Point, but projecting him as a PPG two-way #1 center is obviously a stretch.

2.0 means second coming of actually. They have a similar style too. I can tell you don’t watch anything

No it doesn't, but whatever.

Ahh yes, I don't agree that a player has hall of fame potential so I just don't watch hockey. Good one. Still, I would be happy if Ottawa took Savoie, just kinda important to have realistic expectations. For me at least.

My god you’re clueless. I’m not saying he is will have the same sucess, I’m saying he’s a similar style and has that potential. Google potential

f***ing stop being children you goofs. You said 2.0 he pulled out a dictionary and he won on technicalities. Your intention about potential is noted and accepted. I think as long as we keep this pick we will be good, the org and coach have identified RW and RD as major weaknesses.

Likely we draft a RW or C who will hopefully end up on Stutzles line in time; it's also highly likely we make a package for a RD at the TDL/summer.

Kemmel ftw.

I don’t see point in nazar at all.
Same here. Not even close lol

He hand picked the one definition that fit his narrative lol. Notice why the snip is so small? Guys a complete child I’m done with him

Point stands that Savoie has potential to be what Brayden Point is and he’s a solid playoff performer

McKenzie's draft lottery ranking update suggested that there's a chance that Jiricek could be available at 7. Wonder if that would change the Sens willingness to deal the pick?

Most likely he goes 6th which would leave Savoie as the highest ranked player remaining. That scenario probably favours a trade as there are plenty of teams that will value him more highly than Ottawa would.

Don't think Ottawa should trade the pick.

We are far, far better off doing serious homework and hitting on a top line forward or top 3 D than trading it now.

Only players I would deal the pick for:

Keller, Meier, Ehlers, Fiala(only if 7x7), I'd add Nylander too tbh, even though I am aware he has 2 years left, I think he can still be even more than what he's shown (better winger than Marner).

I’d stay away from nylander with a 10 foot pole. He’s so overrated

He’s the guy we should be gunning for. Would much rather take him than most of the guys talked about around our pick.
He should be in that mix for sure. I'd have zero issues taking him. It would be nice to add another offensive stud to the stable.
Strong European 1st round and into the 2nd .

I am in favour of keeping the pick. Hopefully we can pick up a UFA player instead of trading picks and prospects away unless we can trade White, Murray, Sokolov, Jarventie for something of immediate value.

I think this is a faulty way of looking at things.

While I agree Ottawa won’t be looking at Hutson, he’s too skilled, look at what Fox and Makar have done so far in the playoffs.

I don’t think Hutson is done growing yet either, His father is 5’11” and so is his older brother, Quinn.

If you’re not drafting a kid on the basis of that he has yet to fill out his frame, I think you’re doing it wrong. These type of player are still dominating without hitting the weight room much, imagine what they’ll be able to do when they do with the skill set they have. If he does end up growing, he’ll be the same size as Fox and Makar.
Fox was 5'10¾ 185 at the combine, and Makar was 5'11 1/4 and 187. Not really comparable to Hutson who last listing I saw is 5'8 - 5'9 and 148. He's also already 18, he'll fill out a bit but he's got a long way to go to get to where Makar or Fox

FC Hockey

1. David Jiricek RD
2. Jimmy Snuggerud RW
3. Noah Warren RD
4. Mikko Mattika C/RW
5. Tobias Leinonen G
6. Noah Greuter LW
I always end up with better drafts via FC.. they have so many players ranked 999 or unranked and you can always get Snuggerud in the 2nd which would be nice but. Anyway they are all dependent on their questionable ranking. I used draftpro for this .. I don't like the interface but they have better but still not great rankings. I Doubt Pickering is available at 57 ... Just for fun anyway.

I'd be happy with any of Nemec,Jiricek,Kemell, Nazar or Savoie, and at least one will be available to us, but I got a feeling Mann & Co, are going off the board a bit.

The 2 biggest things for me when considering taking a small skilled player is skating obviously. And do they operate with pressure all over them or no. Players like point, Jarvis, gaudreau, briere are able to make big plays with players all over them.

If a player is able to pile up points from having good vision and taking advantage of open ice (petan) I think it is less translatable to the nhl.
