Came here because Sens are drafting close to us and I was curious how you guys are gauging this class but didn't intend on posting until I saw this. I wouldn't trade #9 + Peterka for #2, personally and would have to think long and hard if the offer were #1. Seeing as we traded up to snag him, I think the feeling is probably mutual for our GM.If there were someone at 7 that Buffalo wanted, I wonder if they would give Peterka + the 9th pick for the 7th pick?

I was shocked when you guys picked Grieg over Peterka after seeing how him and Stu played together, but Greig is a really nice piece himself as well.
Side note: you guys have a stacked prospect/young core coming up, wouldn't be surprised if Sens are very good soon at all.
I think this is a faulty way of looking at things. Are we all watching the playoffs? A 5’8 160 (by the time he gets out of NCAA) pound D would get murdered.
100 points by age 23? While being a strong defensive player? He should probably go #1 overall if that is his NHL comparable. That's not as far-fetched as some people on here would like you to believe. If Nemec, Cooley are gone (which they most likely will) Savoie is my third choice.
I actually think Cooley should go #1 overall. Not done with my final ranking yet but I would take Cooley #1.100 points by age 23? While being a strong defensive player? He should probably go #1 overall if that is his NHL comparable.
Here is his hockey DB page in case you forgot.

He did give off some cocky vibes during the interview at the draft lottery as well.Wright says he deserves to be No. 1 pick by Canadiens in 2022 NHL Draft | NHL.com
Kingston center thinks he can play, make impact next seasonwww.nhl.com
According to Shane Wright, he deserves to go first overall, and deserves honor. He went on to compare Patrice Bergeron to himself, almost as if Shane Wright is the establised NHL star and Bergeron is a high-profile prospect.
I bet that he has abundant confidence, which is great, but his need for recognition and the importance that he seems to place on being treated like he is the best make me wonder about his attitude.
It depends on his endpoint… maybe he is destined to be a hairy beast! The only thing about Wright that concerns me is the fact he’s had stubble since his OHL draft year as a 15/16 year old.
This makes me think he is more physically developed than someone like Cooley or Slafkovsky, or Lekkermaki and thus is closer to a finished product than those other guys.

Bro you know what he’s trying to sayWow, an upgraded version of Brayden Point even! Some of these NHL comparables are hilarious.
Man you start this on topic. And then you start talking about Peterka legit out of nowhere.Shane Wright will be point a game player. Cooley will be a major star. Kemell will be a star and better than Wright. If we would draft Peterka at 33, the draft would be an amazing success. Peterka is an "identity" player for playoffs with an unrelenting motor, willing to fight the boards battles. Very hard to play against. Very disruptive It is actually horrible that we have such a weak scouting and a decision making stuff. Absolute last in the league. Not even that Peterka is way better then Greig and will be a first line player, but just for the sake to have another German player on the team. I mean use your f...... brains just once!
I was also one of those who wanted Peterka over Jarventie.Appreciate the positivity.
Passing on Peterka when a couple of us were really pounding the table for him is one of our most recent draft blunders.
Could have even had him round 2 but took Jarventie instead whos really done nothing.
Good luck to you guys. You are definitely on the upswing as well

Your posts legit make me laugh man. I love them. You just throw peterka into absolutely all of them.Peterka will be a legit point getter. Watching Juraj Slafkovsky now. He has this Tkachuk's vibe. Big and strong, an excellent passing game, winning boards battles, a better shot, surprisingly even a better skater, still kind of choppy for my liking. Will be a star in this league. Will get at least 60 points in his first year in NHL. I want him badly. He could go first overall to Montreal. They never ever had a power forward like this since John LeClair
