in 30 mins of video watching Gauthier wow does he scream sens pick

size, good skater, hits, good hands, good shot, no real elite passing, deception or creativity, but good projectable middle sixer with outside chance of being a star.

and the son of NHLer who is going to college? It's almost set in stone lol

Is Max Pac a good comparison in terms of play style?

Terrible idea - Fiala is a UFA in a year. Why would AZ trade Keller ? That’s like us trading Norris …
There would have to be a long term extension in place for Fiala or he's a hard pass. That's obvious though. Dorion has his moments of stupidity, but even he's not giving up the 7th + + + without a 7 year extension in place.

Here's the story

So Mann wants to keep the 7th overall and draft, and Dorion doesn't, or at least has made it public he's open for business & for moving the 7th overall? Maybe I'm reading too much into this situation, but the thought did cross my mind.

Of course Mann want's to keep 7th OA, his job is to scout and draft good players, that's the best asset at his disposal to do so. Trading it away essentially throws away a year's worth of work scouting the top prospects, even if it's the best thing for the team right now he's still going to be disappointed that he doesn't get a chance to grab a kid in the draft he's had his eye on all year.

Sure, I get that. I just was thinking more if there were two different visions internally about the team and what it needs at this point.

I guess I also wonder what will actually happen and whether that will create the best result.

Also he's got like 10 guys or whatever all working their asses off under him to find the best draft eligible players and then he goes down the hall to the broom closet... I mean pro scouting office and there's what? Two guys there who have only identified a single long term productive pro player out of how many in the last 5 years. It doesn't exactly inspire a lot of confidence.

If we get Kemell do you want him spending another in Finland or to play in the CHL same for Lekkerimäki

They could also play in the AHL, it's so underrated being able to send Euro prospects to basically any league post draft. I think Lekkerimaki goes back but Kemell would be interesting because he was absolutely wrecking his league pre-injury. Depending on his offseason and how he comes into camp it could be a situation where he is better off in the AHL/NHL split.

Why would Arz trade their best young player in Keller? That makes no sense especially given they have three 1st rd picks this yr. The only real question for them is if they can put together a team of good young players as Ottawa has while he is still young & good & of course that's possible. If they can't they could always trade him later to add to what they are building. Trading Keller just makes no sense for a rebuilding team when he is the kind of player most teams try to build around. They do have other players they can trade at this time if they want to that is.

I honestly hope Ottawa goes after Lane Hutson.

In my opinion, he is the most talented player in the draft. He reminds me so much of Cale Makar.

We don’t talk about Brad lambert enough. The guy is electric and would be a hype pick. I want a hype pick
Because he gives off Logan Brown vibes. Skilled for sure but he has an air of entitlement. He needs to go to an organization frankly speaking has their stuff together and the clout to tell his dad to shut the hell up.

Detroit for example is a great place for him.

I think he will be a good to very good player. You can find question marks all over the first round in this draft. I am not trying to say the Sens should take him.. just that I think he will end up being a good player. He just has too many tools not to be. Logan Brown vibes... I am not getting.
