More than fair, differing opinion.I dont think him and Chabot were remotely close at this age. The skating difference is just way too big. Chabot also didnt mind laying the lumber a bit in Jr i expected more of it at the NHL level but that competitive edge is needed big time in Luneau's game. Skating can be worked on but he has a long way to go.
Agree id take Warren over him too. I like his upside alot again comes down to skating but he plays with a mean streak too.
This also comes back to Goyette though, this guy can flat out score. Ottawa East in general gets massively under scouted. Then he didnt play hockey last year where anyone actually watches now he goes to Sudbury who stinks who also gets under scouted. Getting big time Giroux vibes, his offensive instincts are off the charts, so are his hands.
I definitely don’t have as good a read on Luneau this year as I did Chabot, but have heard quite a bit about the 4 guys on the Olympiques. I’d be pretty surprised if Luneau never went higher than most here expect him, after Nemec/Jiricek, so 6-15 range would not surprise me, Warren I’d think will be a 25-45 guy, and then Savoie and Verrault I think will probably fall towards the 6th/7th if at all, though I’ve heard, second hand, some speak of Savoie as a guy under the radar.
