I think he's in the mix. Not with Slafkovsky or Wright but with the rest of the forwards we see in the top 10 especially considering the Russians could very well slide. I think Nemec or Jiricek would be a D vs F decision and any one of them could be BPA on their list without looking at position. Cooley is more consistently ranked in the top 5 .. I'd be happy to have him selected .. Just not sure the Sens would have him as high as the others you mentioned.. but that's more about the identity they have been moving towards. If they have a shot at Wright or Slafkovsky I don't think they pass. I don't think they consider Savoie.Geekie seems like the classic Sens reach with a top pick. I think I'd still prefer guys like Slafkosky, Jiricek, Cooley, Wright, or Nemec but i wouldn't be surprised if we took him in the top 5.

I think he’s a guy that will be disliked by the blogging sites for sure, I think he’ll be higher on team lists than he is around here.
I prefer all the above guys over him as well
I’d think he’d be a guy we have in our sights after that group of 5 guys are gone, he’s probably be one of the top guys I’d think the Sens would like.
The top 5 seems incredibly easy right this moment for the Sens. The 2 C’s in Wright and Cooley, the huge winger in Slaf, and the 2 Right D in Nemec and Jiricek. They all fit into the team like gloves at their respective positions.
After that, I think there is a pretty steep drop off with Geekie very possibly leading that pack in teams eyes, especially with the possibility of Yurov being lowered and Miro certainly being lowered.

Yeah, I'd have no issues with Geekie at 6th (and could see the argument for a bit higher), I got myself into trouble last year saying this, but I think I'll be fine with whoever we pick as I think there will be 5 or 6 guys that could be available and one could make the argument for. I just hope we don't go off the proverbial board.
Do you not think we are picking in the top 5? Or, do you think we'll go on a bit of streak and pick out of the top 5? I'm excluding any lottery ball voodoo. The top 5 seems incredibly easy right this moment for the Sens. The 2 C’s in Wright and Cooley, the huge winger in Slaf, and the 2 Right D in Nemec and Jiricek. Will definitely be on their radar, and should be.I wonder if Jorian Donovan LD becomes a target for the Sens given his dad works for the org maybe in the late 2n or early 3rd rd with them having two picks in each rd. He looked pretty good in his first yr in the OHL playing for Hamilton against the 67s this past weekend, not sure if he'll go higher & whether they would consider a 2nd for him, but they might? He'll be playing in the prospects game tonight. Real good skater, good size, good handling the puck & can QB the PP.
I think I've watched Hamilton half a dozen times this yr & he has impressed me every time. Triston Luneau RD playing for Gatineau is another defenceman they could look at if he falls into the 2nd rd especially if they take a forward with their 1st pick or try to move up to get him. Have you seen him play? Will definitely be on their radar, and should be.
Luneau won’t fall to the second. His skillset is second to none in this draft. Very poised, always makes the right play.I think I've watched Hamilton half a dozen times this yr & he has impressed me every time. Maggio is Logan Maillioux’s best friend. They played on the same team in Sweden last year the “incident” happened and went home with Mailloux after things were ironed out in Sweden. Read into that as you will.Matthew Maggio - Stats, Contract, Salary & More

Was skipped over for last year's draft that's not likely to happen. 72 pts in 55 games. 5"11. Think he may be a target for later picks.
