Having a player in the AHL lets them have more control over their development.
Having a guy that can only manage 10 points in an inferior league and promoting him to one step from the NHL is silly.

Until he shows he can actually produce in a 3rd rate league, keep him there. Especially since the massive spotlight will still be on him in Laval.

...the last two times we went Centre-hunting with a high pick, we farked it up bigtime...so either 3rd times a charm with Wright or he busts and I say we never draft another farkin' centre again!!...:scared:
The last two times although these guys were reported as centers they wete also playing wing.

And if he isn't ready for the NHL?

like I said, it isn't a significant factor; but its still a factor.

Knowing that you have the option of moving Cooley between the leagues and that you have your own coach in the AHL is a good thing.

It's basically nothing. If Wright needs to go back to the OHL, they will tell him what to work on and be in constant communication.

No organization in the OHL is going to bench him.

Nemec, Jiricek, Korchinski, Mintyukov, Mateychuk, Chesley, Rinzel, Odelius, Hutson, Pickering, Grudinin, Jansson, Fisher, Lindgren and Havelid are the best options on defense for the first 2-3 rounds.

I know you're not high on Luneau, I agree not in the 1st round but should he be available at Edmonton's pick at 61 or so, isn't he still ahead of say Grudinin Jansson Fischer(no more of those lol) Lindgren and Havelid?

I have Luneau at 44 so ahead of Fisher and Havelid. So yeah if he's there, take him but he won't be and I was listing guys who I really like for the Habs pick.

Luneau is fine but I don't think we need -another- type like that.
