Slaf explaining how @Hannibal shoots the puck

I just picture Hannibal flipping the puck in the air and trying to Tekken punch it into the net.

Geekie should be an option too. He solves the issue of size at center while being a lefty. And while there is no McDavid in this draft, there certainly is a Connor!

Tomorrow can't come soon enough. :sarcasm:

Nemec, Jiricek, Korchinski, Mintyukov, Mateychuk, Chesley, Rinzel, Odelius, Hutson, Pickering, Grudinin, Jansson, Fisher, Lindgren and Havelid are the best options on defense for the first 2-3 rounds.

Okay, finally, I have a lot more than just the ones I listed above that I'd be real happy if they were Habs draft picks.

Cooley can go to the AHL too.

You have control over a players development in the NHL too.

It's a total non statement.
you don't have control over a player in the OHL/CHL. You could get some shit head coach like Wright had last year.

I know its not a significant factor; but its a factor none the less.

If they have concern about the environment in the CHL, they will just develop him in the NHL. It's not like 1st overall forwards don't play in the NHL all the time after being drafted.

That’s an interesting theory. Does anyone know offhand what it typically costs to move up from 3 to 1? Could they hypothetically use what they get for that plus the 26th pick in a package to get another top ten pick and leave the first round with Cooley and Lekkerimäki?
Perhaps the value we get from moving down could also be for someone to take a bad contract off ours hands. Nothing too crazy like Armia. Not Gally, that be robbery.

And if he isn't ready for the NHL?

like I said, it isn't a significant factor; but its still a factor.

Knowing that you have the option of moving Cooley between the leagues and that you have your own coach in the AHL is a good thing.

Habs won 10-2 against the Panthers.

Yotes were losing 4-0.

All hope was lost but then the unthinkable happened; the Yotes came back! Galchenyuk to Ghost et c'est le but! 5-4 Coyotes win!!!!

If they keep the first pick I think they take Wright. If they trade down and grab another top 10-12 pick, I think they’ll take Cooley and Lekkerimäki.

Would people prefer to have Wright + whoever is around at 26 or Cooley + Lekkerimäki - whatever other assets they need to give up to get that pick?
