I met Andreychuk at a bar a few years back and he's a huge dude, not just tall but just a massive body. I'm not small at 6'2 215ish but he is enormous, 6'4 is underselling the size of that guy. Shane isn't gonna be able to have that impact.

I wanted Shane Wright... but right now... i'm on Logan Cooley team. This guy have potential to be the best player of this draft in 4-5 years, no doubt about that. I really like his game, he play like Zegras... that will be fun to watch him with Caufield on PP.

All the "noise" being made is part of Hughes plan to possibly trade down and still get Wright while grabbing another asset.

It's very rare that a prospect who has been touted to be the #1 pick for most of his draft season, not to be selected at #1. Wright was also granted exceptional status, so you know he's got the tools.

Not saying that Wright will for sure be the best player of the draft but he's got the best odds to be a star

Exactly. As Hughes said, they are as likely to trade out of the 1st overall spot than they are to acquiring the 2nd overall. In other words, it's highly unlikely they do either of those.

I'm sure they will. Or you can use the app on your phone and listen to TSN690, who will be covering the draft.

690 said there covering it, usually the pick comes between 15 and 30 minutes after the start

The draft lasts a few hours… the players/picks traded for stay for years.

If the trade is good, the will do it. That is the job of a GM.

In the event that we do draft Shane, it's quite nice that people think he's primarily a defensive center. He takes his responsibilities seriously, but people will be pleasantly surprised to find out just how offensive he is.

Is defensive play is starting to be overrated
