All this talk about being defensive minded or being like bergeron because he plays a two way game makes no sense.

I would be excited with Slafkovsky, even though I want the Wright selection. He's a different kind of player than we've had, it'd be interesting to watch him develop.

Also should have stopped while he was ahead. To say it’s an advantage to draft Slafkovsky because he can play in the AHL makes no sense to me.

Having a player in the AHL lets them have more control over their development.

I don't know if he is still under contract in the KHL. But if he isn't, is there a junior team that drafted him in an import draft (I know there weren't any drafted this year, but wondering about other years). Of course, he can be brought in the AHL right away (if he's not under contract in Russia).

Kyrou's someone I would like to see Habs select. I've usually taken him in my mock draft on the simulator website. He and David Spacek are two I'd be happy to see as Habs prospects.

I don't know if he is still under contract in the KHL. Not sure the KHL is in a strong legal standing to do any kind of requests this year, the NHL might go "over the lines" in an all-out culture push.

Yes. Same here. Lindgren, Kyrou, Warren, and Spacek are targets of mine. Warren is not like the others, he offers other aspects, but I would love for any of them. Some others, as well. But these are probably my 4 main targets from the D.

Nemec, Jiricek, Korchinski, Mintyukov, Mateychuk, Chesley, Rinzel, Odelius, Hutson, Pickering, Grudinin, Jansson, Fisher, Lindgren and Havelid are the best options on defense for the first 2-3 rounds.
