On pace for 66 homers which would be 3rd all time. Doing that in the non steroid era would be bonkers. Best is Maris with 61 in 1961 when you don’t include the steroid era.

That will be a bad contract once he signs no matter where. Money will be fine probably but the term will be ugly based that he'll be 31 once he starts a new contract.

He's also an incredible physical specimen, AND a late bloomer.

I'd absolutely be a wary of any deal that takes a player into his late 30's, and there are injury concerns here, but there is stuff there which suggests his timeline could be different than most players.

Post steroids I’m skeptical anyone can truly last into their late 30s when the best in shape young guys can only hit the ball about 30% of the time. That said he won’t lose his strength so he’ll always be a home run threat.
