Shots in the 2nd period was 23-2 for Norway, 28-5 after second and now it is 4-2 and game on. This shouldn't be possible.
Sooo shots are 33-11 now in Latvia's favor and Denmark is leading 4-2. And Mr. Backup continues to make amazing saves....

Great to watch. It is not easy to be the team with the puck all the time. Backup goalie is doing great, and got the posts on his side. Odds are still 2.80 for Denmark and 2.40 for Latvia. The Danes are playing quite tight and heorically defensively and looking for break-aways, and if that is the game plan it is working well. Probably gonna be even more break-away opportunities if this result stands for a while.

And after all those shots equalizing goal falls on the lucky bounce.. Probably makes sense after all the saves Thor managed to make.

The Danes fought like heroes, but just didn't have the skills IMO. Starting to look dangerous.

We are pretty shit defensively and have some good fowards and puck-moving Ds, so those 9 goals don't surprise me, but it was way closer than expected.

The next one decides who makes the Elite tier.

I'd say Latvia 40/60 Belarus

There were totally 6 skaters on the ice at the end  Should have been called, the win kinda feels bad now

The tripping on the breakaway was also never called after that episode, so the win could have come anyway.

Well, if the penalty for Latvia was actually called, there would had been no tripping. It feels that the Danish team was still in shock that such an obvious penalty wasn't called when they conceded that goal.

Yeah, that's the only reason we won.

All of the timelines in the universe clearly led to a loss, except this one with the miscalled penalty. It was basically one in a billion kind of a thing.

That is a reason we won at least in regulation, clearly. Unless you believe we would had obviously scored a shorthanded goal before the end .

Come on. In any given game there are like a billion penalties that don't get called. And other penalties get called that people don't like because they think they're soft. It's not great but it's a part of human imperfection. I was rooting for the underdog danes but like, this is not the shield to die on.

Looks like that. You had 6 skaters on ice at 1:49 left and should have gotten a penalty. Guess it'd be tough to score a gwg in that situation.
Were you blowing the same horn when your dictator bribed the referees on your home ice at the World Champs?

Wow. Blindness mode off/whining mode on. You are a very typical fan of team Latvia.

Wow, that was sad.
It really was.

The guy is in favor of good refereeing when it suits him. It's very typical of the regimes to the East, that slimey, two-faced approach to ethics.

Hockey is a game of chance and bad refereeing has always played a part there. Just take the win in a game we outclassed the opposing side. No, I fEeL bAd aFtEr tHiS wIn *adjusts glasses*. Stop being a whiney little bitch.

Damn, that's not what I really think and I shouldn't have said that. I apologize to anyone who got offended by that.

It is what it is, I'll take this win. But Latvia definitely needs to play way better vs Belarus than that if they want to advance.
