Yes the lack of profesionalism and the obstacles of our dual education system certainly have an effect. In an interview this fall Joshua Fahrni said that he had only started to take nutrition seriously this summer and that he made a nutrition plan for the first time in his life. Of course this had a huge impact on his performance. But you have to take this sort of things more seriously from an even earlier age. I know Marco Rossi had his own personal trainer and a skating coach when he was still in Zürich. But as you said the swiss education system doesnt give the players a lot of room to focus on hockey.

At least players who visit a sport school would have enough space to practise more. But from my point of view it‘s not a question of the amount of practise sessions a week, it‘s more a question of the quality. There is also too less room for individual practise. I just know a few clubs who make individual practice plans for the boys.

I wonder if HockeyCanada will do anything about the streaming problem, because as of right now Sweden - Slovakia tomorrow will not be streamed either

Well atleast they are streaming tomorrows Finland Usa game and Finland Germany the day after.... we should only just miss the pretournament Canada game and this Czechia game and get to see the rest

But it's quite stupid that I have to miss games in a competition as big as the Hlinka tournament when I've watched u12 games streamed by the father of one of the kids on his iphone and it was perfectly watchable. It's honestly ridiculous that Hockey Canada can't facilitate some simple recordings of every match but I guess we know where their funds are going.
