Coery Pronman released his Top 127 draft list and Shane Wright is #2.
Juraj Slafkovsky is #1.
Has the Kings taking Frnak Nazar at 19...and at 20 is Conor Geekie and 21 is Rutger McGroarty.
I'd love any of the 3 of them at 19.

.
He has Nazar ranked 19th, this is not where he thinks players will be drafted. I like Pronman and he is one of the reasons I subscribe.
I still hope Miroshnichenko drops to LA...though I will hate having to type that last name for years. If he is gone than hopefully Bichsel is still there, but I think both are likely gone

For those interested in Poolman's #19

I hope LA does not go for him. I want more size.

I was all ready with an “exit Frk, enter Frnak” line till I read @YP44 ’s post…

Still think the puck is traded in a Chychrun deal. Not getting into if that is a good move or not as it is a draft pick thread.

I would love one of the M’s to fall to us if we keep it.

Miroshnichenko
Mintyukov
McGroarty

Honestly have not put the effort into watching the prospects this year as I have in others as I just don’t think we’ll make the pic

If war in Ukraine will continue with more bloodshed, I will not be surprised if all teams will be forbidden by NHL to draft Russian players this upcoming draft.

This will shock me. I could see Russian players falling though because of fear they will not be permitted by Russian Government to leave.

that is more what I was saying than the NHL banning.

I mean with how the Kings handle Russian transfers the current climate may be doing them a favor
As an aside, is Kirsanov lost to the void? Is he in a snuggle out of the country situation, assuming he even wants to come over?

According to EliteProspects and Capfriendly, both Kirsanov and Shafigullin have 1 year remaining on their contracts in Russia. Neither have signed an elc with the Kings. IIRC, before current events players in that situation would have to pay their way out of the KHL contract before signing with an NHL team. My guess would be both play in Russia next year ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ok so...BPA :)

I agree with all of this, that's different than your first post I responded to, where you said literally if the Kings drafted Lambert or anyone under 6' you'd be upset, and I think my point stands, the moment you start putting that sort of conditions on your picks is when you get into trouble. If Pickering > Mesar, do it, and be happy. But if Mesar > Pickering and you don't pick him due to size especially beacause other small guys are in the Kings' system, that's a bad move.

I think ultimately it will be a moot point because there are a lot of pretty beefy but good players in our range, ie pickering and mcgroarty.
I strongly belive that "size matters", "you can't teach size", "Every good army needs a couple of criminals", etc. An old school guy, lombardisque sutter/berubelike "heavy hockey" fan. Definitely out of style nowadays.

McGroarty is my kind of guy, but his skating is so painful to watch. I don't mind if Kings draft him, but I prefer LD. Pickering, Korchinski, Mintyukov - hopefully Kings drafts one of them. So obviously I'm now even in deeper trouble, because I'm putting more conditions (not only size, but also position)? 🤔

Actually what I mostly hope, is that Kings could get a genuinely promising goalie prospect. Quick is 36, Petersen is what is (back-up goalie) and I belive that Matt Villalta has played more progames all other our goalieprospects together. Worrisome.
