I f anything, I don't see the Kings trading back for more picks. I think they are past quantity for BOTH prospects and the Kings roster and would try to get into 12-16 for a player they coveted. (10 ducks and 11 sharks would not be trading partners) And 5-9 slots would be costly.
I would even think that if #19 was available for trade for an NHL player (Chychrun, etc) that the team involved for the deal, may want to see who is available at #19 and pull the trigger on the deal, if they like a player at #19.
Like when the Lucic deal was made at the draft, at the Kings time on the clock. Not saying that the Kings would not deal #19 pre-draft...but you see some picks moved at the draft, when the pick is on the clock.
There are so many prospects in the system and several are going to soon be waiver exempt...and how many can make the team, in the next 2 years, out of these::::
Chromaik, Fagemo, Thomas, JAD, Turcotte, Madden, Helenius, Lee, Taylor Ward. Then others like Pinelli (he signed already too) I can't see the Kings wanting quantity, but willing to package some prospects and their #1 and #2, to get quality. Then there's the Faber situation too. You can say "wait and see what he does after his Jr year"...sure...but maybe Rob knows more about Brock's intentions now.
