WJC: 2022 Czech Republic Roster talk

The Czech team was practicing instead of the preparation game. Looks like there is no positive test in the team, otherwise they would probably cancel the practice. But nothing confirmed yet.

Now imagine if you are one of the 3 Czechs that flew over hoping to make team. You get no exhibition match and you get cut tomorrow after a practice. That's gotta be heartbreaking for those 3.

The Finns are bad this year, I have the FIN, CZE and SVK at about the same level, SWE is a bit better but not enough to guarentee a win against one of those teams in the quarters. Canada Russia and USA should end up top 3.

I think Finns are better than years. Maybe last time 2016 Finns had so much potential NHL players than now.

I don't suppose it will be anyone NA. I sincerely hope that the defense will be Pinkas, he makes a lot of mistakes. I don't know about the attack, but as I write, probably no one from America

The final roster. No COVID-related news as by now, looks like the cancellation of yesterday's game was not due to a Czech player/staff member tester positive. The team is in Edmonton already and continues with preparation for the first game.

Maybe but only 1 in our pool gets an ideal quarter (in theory)... 2 to 4 in our pool get a brutal crossover.

I hope it will not happen. If so, I will be disgusted by the end of the tournament. Last time we lost 0: 3, of course, this would be a great result for us (it's embarrassing to write ...), it probably won't happen. But not ten, just don't

Is going to be an extremely diffucult game but I hope they are capable of at least losing with a "normal" score, like in the last year's QF.

I always expect a big loss to Canada. They are especially strong offensively this year. But I hope we’re past the big losses. Put a good defensive system in place, and prevent those grade A scoring chances. Theres just no excuses anymore.
How many mediocre Swiss teams gave Canada problems over the years?
We have some great defenseman this year. Just get it done.
