Hutson was cut from team USA WJC team. Boo, hiss.
Not surprised, I expect him to play in december's WJCHutson was cut from team USA WJC team. Boo, hiss.
If Lane plays 4 years, the 3 brothers could play for Boston University at the same time.He has a brother Cole Hutson coming up in a few years.
Don’t give him any ideas lolIf Lane plays 4 years, the 3 brothers could play for Boston University at the same time.
Is he 3"9'?He has a brother Cole Hutson coming up in a few years.
I'm led to believe that this is actually the size of Kirby Dach's "stick" by all accounts. Is he 3"9'?
Yep then Lane signs as an UFA with an American teamDon’t give him any ideas lol
Other interesting tidbit about growth spurts, FWIW. Makar began in the NCAA at 5’9 and grew to 5’10 1/2. Also, there is a family precedent where a sibling added an inch in height at age 19.
40 pounds in 8 months: 2 large ice cream cones and a large milkshake a day will do it. Ice cream is my Kryptonite as comfort food.I took on 40 pounds in less than 2 years during covid lol. Beer and video games is the secret
Didn’t even notice lol….sorry, it’s morning here in Belarus….reading this off my phone while brewing some coffee…..I’ll check the evidence that you provided and i failed to verify
Edit: soooo….everyone was wearing the same shoes? Sucks for the guy that showed up in flip flops
Drew O'Connor is a good example of a player having a growth spurt. When he was 18 and coming out of High School, he was around 5'9". He ended up getting a scholarship at Dartmouth in the NCAA, and over time, he grew to be 6'3" and 200 lbs. He ended being signed by the Pens in 2020 as an undrafted free agent.

Drew O'Connor dreamed about playing Division-I men's hockey in college. But as he finished his senior season at Delbarton High School, there weren't a lot of opportunities.
Part of the problem was O'Connor's size. Standing at "probably 5-9," many of the top-tier college programs overlooked the Chatham, New Jersey native. But O'Connor did realize his dream after being accepted by the prestigious Ivy League school Dartmouth.
"There was a certain point at the end of high school that it didn't seem like (playing Division-I) would be available," he admitted via conference call on Friday afternoon. "I was able to get that opportunity, and Dartmouth was a great place for me to go. They helped me a lot developing. I was very fortunate to be able to go to Dartmouth and play at a high level."
And Dartmouth was fortunate, too. Because what was once a weakness (size) became a strength when a late growth spurt brought O'Connor, who signed a two-year contract with Pittsburgh that begins in the 2020-21 season, to 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds.
"I was pretty small a little while ago. I did grow pretty late," O'Connor said. "Growing into my body a little bit has been helpful for me. Trying to adapt to my game now as a bigger guy has been a bit part of everything."
That must be crazy rare! Six inches after 18 years old. If Hutson grows 2 inches I’ll gladly take it
Ice cream is my kryptonite too but in the sense that I have the most diabolical shits the morning after. I'm a daily toilet-wrecker with my regular diet and even then, the reaction I can have because of modified milk substances surprises myself everytime. One of the worst I've ever had was after eating a strawberry-cheese cake Drumstick. I thought I was giving birth to Chernobyl 2.0 from my ass.40 pounds in 8 months: 2 large ice cream cones and a large milkshake a day will do it. Ice cream is my Kryptonite as comfort food.

I'm not lactose intolerant, but I only buy Coaticook or stick to sorbets. Otherwise my fiancee would have to move out because of safety issues.
It's somewhat related to the subject at hand... Lane Hutson is gonna have to put on weight to play in the show, but he should avoid modified milk substances and focus on healthy sources of protein and fat.Too much information.

I don't see why he can't have the same type of career than Torey Krug or Samuel Girard.
Him being an everyday NHL'er is going to be very difficult but I hope it works out for him and the club.Krug is almost 50 lbs heavier and Girard is two inches taller........there is a cutoff for dmen and it seems to be 5'9" for height. That is not to say it is impossible as he may be a unicorn but there are no real comparison's for a 5'8" 150 lb dman in the NHL.
I am hoping he can still grow a little but he absolutely must put on close to 25 lbs. He will be fun to watch as he has some seriously elite talent as a puck handler. He reminds me of Mitch Marner with the way he moves and it is tough to pass on skill like that.
Lane is a long term project imo and I am content on patiently watching this play out. It is just plain dumb to either anoint him as a steal or write him off due to his size. Opinions are welcome anywhere in between but let's steer clear of absolutes, especially in this case.
Let's pray for a similar miracleDrew O'Connor is a good example of a player having a growth spurt. When he was 18 and coming out of High School, he was around 5'9".
