Hutson growing curve is going to be my favorite storyline for the next two years.
For god's sake @Ezpz he is a hockey player not a doctor on the starship Enterprise. So is this guy's nickname Bones? It's gotta be.
Let's say 4 years.Hutson growing curve is going to be my favorite storyline for the next two years.
Why? 240lbs might be his ideal weight. Some guys with big frames look sickly of they get to light. Slaf hadn't filled out yet and some reports have him at 230lbs. I'm guessing his "man weight" will be 240.
Because there's a point where too much bulk starts to impact a player's mobility. That and the heavier he is, the harder it gets on his knees/ankles/ligaments. He's apparently about 220 right now and that should be the right ball park for him IMO.
Edit: Correction, they have him listed as 229 on the team website. That's real big for an 18 year old player The kid is massive.
If he hits a solid 5'9 we should be grateful to the hockey gods. There is word he has even taller family members. So some think he might end up 6’5 or 6’6+. So those extra pound wouldn’t be so critical. But he’s already a monster and big Ds in men’s leagues can’t move him.
He’s 159 now. Put on 10 lbs on his routine.Didn't know him much. Looked up his hilights and the kid looks like a stud. Checked himont on Elite prospects and both his father and brother are 5'11". He's young so he may still grow an inch or 2.
Question, HockeyDB has him listed at 148lbs and EP has him at 159. Do we know his real weight?
Hutson is already 5’9”.If he hits a solid 5'9 we should be grateful to the hockey gods.
No he’s 5’8 according to the combine measurement!Hutson is already 5’9”.

31 other teams thankfully!!!Who cares about his height...
But Bouillon was not 148lbs and was strong as a bull for his size. Was about to comment Bouillon was 5'8" too and was nowhere as dynamic and such a great passer but he had a good career. If he can grow another inch or 2, gain a good 20 pounds and keep that fire inside, daaamn.... playing with an Edmunson type, he could be reeally good. Nice swing there hugo, might connect and fwiiiiiii, hit the scoreboard.

Oh I know, he was a big man for his height. If he ends up a 5'10" 180 pounds, I would be exstatic! But Bouillon was not 148lbs and was strong as a bull for his size.
It doesn't matter as Lane Hutson and Bouillon have different playstyles. Hutson plays a game that is much closer to Gaudreau than that of Bouillon. You don't need to be big to play a high-pace, puck hogging game. You need to skate like the wind, have hands of silk, incredible vision and cardio for days. But Bouillon was not 148lbs and was strong as a bull for his size.
Nope. Our brand new development staff is already on it.
I was wondering that too. If anything, it would be good for him to play a little lighter than that, in my opinion, especially as a forward. I wouldn't want him heavier than that. Ovi went through a rebirth after he lost weight.Because there's a point where too much bulk starts to impact a player's mobility.
