You have seen the lineup care of
@uticacomets. Thanks buddy!
I have been involved in a whole lot of family stuff today so I am late coming on board.
As to the line changes the only guy in the forward group not there yesterday is Senyshyn. Dugan and Halonin moved up a line. Dugan moved into Senyshyn's spot with Johnsson and Foote and Halonen took Dugan's spot with Parent and Schmelzer.The hole left up front is being filled by Geertsen, who has been playing pretty good since his recent move to D. He has been invisible as a forward the rest of the season.
To deal with Geertsen's absence on D Blujus has returned to the lineup. He is the Comets only remaining D-man. Nemec is getting a rest day after playing back to back Fri. and Sat. following his WJC efforts.
The scratches include Pinho, Thompson, and Laberge who are better than a handful of guys in the lineup today, and Senyshyn. Pinho and Laberge have been out for some time. Thompson played Friday night and didn't even make the trip for Saturday and today due to illness.
This lineup is the weakest of the 3 in 3. The Comets have received points in 10 straight games. Making it 11 will be a monumental task. I thought it was over last night after Springfield's monster 2nd period pouring 19 shots on Schmid totaling 31 for the 1st 2 periods yet the Comets clung to a 2-1 lead. Then the Comets reached down and somehow found something extra to take some of the pressure off Akira and limited the T-Birds to 9 shots and held on for the 2-1 victory.
I wouldn't be surprised if that bubble bursts today in an afternoon game on the tail of 2 hard fought victories on Fri and Sat.
I am way behind on watching this one and will skip out for dinner when the wife calls. I'm not going to check in with AHL.com for a score. So my upcoming posts will be long after most of you already know the outcome, LOL.
