There's a lot of teams with sudden LTIR assignments lately. The trade deadline could be bigger than expected.
Someone out there really really like JuicyThere's a lot of teams with sudden LTIR assignments lately. The trade deadline could be bigger than expected.
Yea it was the season they started in Arizona. 2021 season. No this was one of those nightmare years of insufferable suffering where we didn't make the playoffs and Pavs did make the playoffs.

I know this because I also screenshoted that exchange hahah
Adds lighting and penguins to list of potential teams. Thinks deal will be less.than what Chicago got for debrincat.
If that's true, they can get more for Meier than what Chicago got for DeBrincat.I guess Friedman said today Grier will allow teams to talk a contract before a Meier deal and they wont trade him as a rental. Obvious to us, but that arguement has been around

Kulich + Rosen and a 1st would be a slam dunk imoBuffalo seems like the ideal trade partner because of their embarrassment of riches in prospects. It would also be fun to watch Timo on that team with their current roster. I'd ask for Kulich + Peterka/Rosen + 1st, but plug and play your favorite prospects.

Paywall. And related
I would rather have Norris and Stutzle rather than Karlsson. Never liked that trade one bit and how it concluded with signing Karlsson in the UFA period. DW's 2nd biggest choke. First is the trade for Kane.
Then there is DWjr's biggest choke which is drafting Merkley in the first round when he would be available in the 2nd. I have nothing against Merkley but he was not the type of defenseman the Sharks needed. Quite the opposite. If he was a 1st round shutdown type defender, Sharks would be a different team. Then there is the aspect of the Sharks organization ruining the young guns.
I don't blame Merkley for wanting a trade. I'm surprised there's not a Merkley wants out thread. That 1st round pick received much debate here. Good thing the Wilson era is over.
Now we just need to get rid of Hasso. Maybe bring back the Gund family.
We'll just double-shift him as a 4tH fOrWaRd.Eyssimont-Hertl-Labanc

Yeah, I don't even know if EK, as great as he is, is capable of getting to 100 points if Timo is dealt in the next two weeks. He has 17 assists of Timo's 26 goals.
I think if we can retain 50% on the current deal and trade him to a team with a deal in place, we could get a really good return.Friedman on 32 thoughts saying teams think Meier could go early and Grier is ready to deal right now. Teams will be talking to Meier on a deal before a trade if the deal is good.
We could've kept Pavelski too if we hadn't re-signed Kane. So it could've been Karlsson+Stutzle+PavsI still maintain that the Karlsson trade was good. I would be okay if it weren’t for losing Stutzle, and if the Sharks hadn’t re-signed Kane, we could have had both Karlsson and Stutzle. The Kane re-signing was the worst move that DW made among a slew of awful moves from 2018 on.
I think its just how it is at this point. Im pro anything to make Grier and ownership realize this team isnt and cannot be good.I’ll raise my hand to the idea that trading Timo could turn out badly. I just don’t think trading him to tank is smart.
There is no guarantee we’ll get who we want or that he will be what we want.
I think it definitely can turn out bad. It also could turn out fantastic. It’s VERY hard to gauge a Timo trade without knowing the return or around the return.I’ll raise my hand to the idea that trading Timo could turn out badly. I just don’t think trading him to tank is smart.

Small sample size, but Eyssimont is putting up ridiculous analytics since coming to SJ. In the 5 games he's played in so far he has:
5v5 CF% - 62%
5v5 xG% - 70%
5v5 SCF% - 71%
5v5 HDCF% - 86%
Pretty decent for a waiver pickup![]()
Of course there’s no guarantee that we get who we want or who we want turns out. But there’s no point in having Meier and paying him a huge contract when we won’t be any good for at least three years at the earliest. If you’d rather pick 10th overall for the next eight years, then sure, trading Meier is dumb. But if you want to actually build a team that is competitive and can grow together to become a contender, then you have to trade Meier and the sooner the better. Not only is he single-handedly winning us games, but he’s also our only really valuable trade chip.I’ll raise my hand to the idea that trading Timo could turn out badly.
