If a team is taking Karlsson at 50%, I'd expect multiple unprotected 1st's and high end prospects
Yep. If people thought the 3 firsts was a lot, they’d be astounded by the cost of 50% retained.
I wonder if EK would entertain going to Edmonton with Kane there.
This is actually a valid point that I forgot about. Kane feels like a fever dream.

What valuable assets would the Rangers be willing to part with?
Laf is probably the best piece but I’m sure Grier knows plenty from his time there.

Laf and a first is an interesting starting point for me. Obviously he’s never going to be an all star, but he’s still got some potential to be really good.
I would take that in a heartbeat. Getting a major prospect and a first for a guy we were convinced we'd be stuck with? I'd retain as much as 30%

Edit: Oh, that's for Timo.

Trying to lower his value by adding 4 years. #conspiracy

The last few seasons have felt so long, time actually sped up for him.

The flip side is that his qualifying offer suffered value contraction, so now we can qualify him for another year at ten bucks.

Not too long ago, Rangers fans were saying that the team couldn't even fit Barabanov under the cap. How will it fit Meier?

If it’s NYR. Kakko, a 1st which is probably a pick in the 20’s And a roster player. I don’t see us getting Laf and Kakko But if Grier pulled that off I’d applaud him. To hell with it, Laf, Kakko and a 1st in 2023

I dont know about you but ive never seen EK look at Logan the way EK looks at EK here. :naughty:

Thought you were going hodge on me for a second. Is he still on the “we should give Meier away” train?
Last i heard we’d be lucky to get a conditional 7th for Timo with 50% retention

Did anyone else notice on that graphic from daily faceoff it says Meier is 30 years old?
In all fairness, these last 12 months have felt like 4 years.

Jesus Christ

I wasn't expecting this with Chicago existing but we currently have the worst 5-on-5 sv% in the NHL at 89.15%, the next lowest is Vancouver at 90.26%

Erik Karlsson really spoiled what should have been an all-time tank team, without his contributions we might have challenged for the post salary cap loss record, instead we're probably gonna miss out on a generational talent in the draft, thanks Rick
