Nice!! I had issues getting the right angle. And sizing was weird for me, I think I haven't figured out how to size the layer individually after I drop it on there. If that's possible. I'm using a free website photoeditor thingy.

Was Patty basically a stormtrooper? I think so. He's shooting away from the goalie for a goal, trying his hardest to not hit the goalie, and hits the goalie dead on in the chest instead of missing... :sarcasm:

It's a good thing for the rebel alliance that the head stormtrooper never figured out reverse psychology.
I use gimp because I'm on poverty time and mgmt will get suspicious if I try to expense a Photoshop license when I'm not a designer

It's definitely enough for chopping memes while you're on the clock though

If push comes to shove because Petry is supposedly what stopped an EK65 trade previously, the buyout window for Pittsburgh would likely be used to buy Petry out to save like 3.25 mil then trade the Sharks Granlund, Rutta, and DeSmith so they can get Karlsson at 8 or 8.5 mil.
I really like the idea of the Sharks taking back both Petry and Granlund. Both have negative value based on their contracts but both can provide minutes for the Sharks and be competent which will let the Sharks bring up their prospects slowly without being rushed. Also they can help prospects develop as they don’t want Eklund receiving passes from Ferraro or Benning on the top PP.

The 2 years of term doesn’t hurt the Sharks at all and they can probably get an asset back for the both in the 25 deadline. An added bonus is taking both also with reduces the retention or increases the return.

I agree, but I don't see Petry agreeing.

No trade clauses are so annoying. I feel like the number of NTC should be limited to like 2 per team
Teams can choose not to issue them, or to acquire players who have them. If they struggle to attract players, well, that's just the cost of not having to deal with them.

The biggest issue is that Karlsson's value probably isn't anywhere near as high as his season would have you believe, so we have a massively difficult time moving him. That's on Wilson and Karlsson more than anyone else.

I’m not talking about superstar players like Karlsson, I’m talking about lower level players like Petry.

For sure. kleki is free too, just web-based instead of an installed program. I like that I can use it on whatever device. No sign ups, don't have to give them an email address. There's not a credit system like NightCafe uses for AI generated pics... I like it.

I would have been perfectly fine with the Sharks taking on Petry as part of a Karlsson trade. Problem is it doesn't sound like Petry wants to go to San Jose and is on his no-trade list since he wants to stay close to where his family is. So the only way to get around it where the Pens still get Karlsson without a 3rd team involved is to buy out Petry and move to us Granlund, Rutta, and DeSmith. All guys I'd be perfectly happy taking on. Granlund and Rutta can be kept until their two years are up. DeSmith is probably a 3rd goalie for us until his contract expires. I don't think they can move him nor do I think they can move Kahkonen but letting their contracts expire is an acceptable outcome if it comes to that.

I don't have an issue with them. If I was settling down with my family I would want control over where I play and I think that is the case for a bottom six forward or a top pairing defenseman. If teams don't want the players to have NMCs or NTCs then they should find a way to compensate the players for the loss of control over their destination.

Peng suggested a trade involving the hawks.

Penguins get Karlsson 4.5 retained by sharks.

Sharks get Ty Smith, Sam Poulin, 2025 second round pick (1st in 24 or 25 if the penguins win the cup.

Hawks get Petry and 2024 1st round pick (top 5 protected)

Seems like Hawks get more out of this for being a facilitator than the Sharks do. It's like 2 marginal prospects and a conditional 2nd for the Sharks, while the Hawks get a guaranteed 1st and a good player they can flip for more value. Are the hawks even retaining anything here?

Trade the picks and it's decent. Hawks shouldn't get the higher pick for facilitating. The very premise is laughable.

How many bottles of whiskey deep is Grier when he makes this trade?
