Anytime past the first week of free agency and the leverage the Sharks have plummets. Teams are not going to wait for us to make up our mind before addressing their needs during the most active time of the year. And that means less flexibility and less suitors as it's already difficult to make something happen because of his contract. They need to get this done now preferably but if Karlsson is still a Shark this time next week, he'll probably be a Shark for all of next season as well.
yea, this needs to happen quick or it probably won't

I think if Grier gets a 1st with less than 30% retention he will take it. It is just if he can get that today and which team.

Vlasic-Petry would have been an elite shutdown pair circa 2016
Yep, and I will have to clarify that I'm not excited of what Petry brings as player, just that players itself in teal feels good for no reason. He is physical, so that's cool and can have all the time in PP he wants.

He’s a vet too and our D is pretty young. Vlasic doesn’t seem like a good mentor, I think Petry would actually be a good add for a rebuilding team.

What about Granlund + Petry + 14 for EK and Barabonov?

I think Pit would have to add a pick or 2 but that could work cap wise for both.

Wait if Petry is coming our way... How is this not for EK65? I could see Pitt desperately trying to do one more run with their tankbois. Not sure why EK65 would agree to go there though given that they missed the ploffs.
