Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We should at least let the psychedelics wear off to see what we really have.I’m drafting this Hodge in the 1st round of the HF draft.

HE IS THE ONEFriends, I know you have all missed me dearly these last few months. It is finally time to reveal that I have been undergoing intensive mental and physical training that allows me to travel between parallel universes.
I just returned from a trip to a universe where Doug Wilson never stepped down as Sharks GM. I am still recovering from my journey and piecing together what I learned but there are a few things I can report back to you all.
He signed Meier to an 8-year, 9.5M/year extension ("We believe Timo is up there with the Kucherovs and the Stones as an elite winger in the NHL and this contract reflects that") and Ferraro to an 8-year, 5M/year extension ("We believe Mario is a top four defenseman and future captain in this league"). Reimer was traded last offseason instead of Hill and Burns is still a Shark. The first year of Eklund's ELC was burned before he was finally sent down at the 40 game mark when he had 10 points. Thanks to Hill's .915 SV% (which earned him a 5x5 extension of his own), Burns turning in a 60 point season and Meier being on the roster all year, the Sharks finished with 85 points and another 11th overall pick. DWJr. is giddy with excitement over the 5'10" winger he plans to select with it. The Sharks are already $3 million above the 2023-24 salary cap.
Needless to say, I am relieved to be back in this universe and am never leaving again.
Well this new Hodge seems fun. Very curious on how you feel about Grier now though and the trades he’s made. Even though I’m half convinced you are Grier. Disappear slightly after he got hired, reappear sparingly right after busy times, now are back once locker clean out is over? Seems suspicious.Friends, I know you have all missed me dearly these last few months. Does it work like Beetlejuice? Someone says your name three times and you get summoned back from that other universe? That is because my travels have revealed to me the fundamental truth of this and all universes, which is that we are all one and the same. How can I denigrate my fellow Sharks fans when I am Pinkfloyd, I am Patty Ice, I am TheBeard, separated only by the illusory circumstances of time and space? Even Doug Wilson and Doug Wilson's son do not deserve scorn for their incompetence. They deserve forgiveness.
The Sandisfan in me recognizes the Sandisfan in you, and that's a post we can all like.

There’s some kind of 12 episode TV series character arc happening with Hodge while we’re all distracted by hockey but I’m hoping it all pays off during the finale. Like when Bedard wears a Hodge shirt at the draft.
I am hoping that vlasic is no longer part of this lineup by then. Starting next season we have a little more options when it comes to vlasic and his contract.I’m bored, so I’m projecting our lineup for 2025. Obviously, there are ton of unknowns, so I’m going to just take some fun shots in the dark.
Eklund - Hertl - Bedard
Guschin - Bystedt - Couture
Lund - Bordeleau - Robins
Lorentz - Sturm - Kunin
Thrun - Havelid
Muhk - Ferraro
Vlasic - Kniazev
That third line is either really fun or terrible.. but I’m very particular to the 1st one…
Also, that defense needs a lot of help and is the reason they’re likely picking top that year.

I highly, highly doubt it. Hertl has two young children and a full NMC.Any chance Hertl is a surprise trade this off-season?
That’s would def be an ideal landing spot for himI highly, highly doubt it. Hertl has two young children and a full NMC.
The only scenario that I could see Hertl being moved is if both Bergeron and Krejci call it a career.
For him? Yes. For us? Not at all. Bruins have 0 young assets really. That’s would def be an ideal landing spot for him
Swayman would be a fun direction. Go for a 'build from the net out' rebuild. We would have next to nothing offensively though lolFor him? Yes. For us? Not at all. Bruins have 0 young assets really.
Mason Lohrei is excellent and I’d be happy with him as the main asset in a Hertl trade. For him? Yes. For us? Not at all. Bruins have 0 young assets really.
I’d be VERY surprised if they moved Swayman but yes definitely agreed. If we could pull Swayman I’d do it easily.Swayman would be a fun direction. Go for a 'build from the net out' rebuild. We would have next to nothing offensively though lol
They also only have one pick in the first 2 rounds of the next three drafts. So basically it would be Lohrei and a bunch of B-/C pieces. Maybe Lysell, Ahcan. Past that though it’s not great.Mason Lohrei is excellent and I’d be happy with him as the main asset in a Hertl trade.
Hertl isn’t exactly a premium asset anymore. A package around Lohrei (whom I really like and think is a better prospect than Mukhamadullin or Thrun), the 2025 2nd, and a cap dump like Forbort is probably the best we can do.I’d be VERY surprised if they moved Swayman but yes definitely agreed. Boston has to choose between ullmark and swayman sooner or later. I know the obvious answer is to let ullmark walk in 2 years, but if swayman wants to be a starter before then boston has a big decision to make.I’d be VERY surprised if they moved Swayman but yes definitely agreed. Meh I’d prefer to shop Hertl around to a team like CBJ or DET. Lohrei is good but him, a 2nd in 2 years, and another bottom pair LH isn’t interesting to me.Hertl isn’t exactly a premium asset anymore. Oh I agree but I think the choice is easily Swayman. Hell if I were them I’d sell high on Ullmark at the draft.Boston has to choose between ullmark and swayman sooner or later. He has a NMC until july 1st i believe. So draft might not work so well.Meh I’d prefer to shop Hertl around to a team like CBJ or DET. Lohrei is good but him, a 2nd in 2 years, and another bottom pair LH isn’t interesting to me.
I definitely have a soft spot for Hertl so that might be swaying me. If that 2nd was this year, I’d be more open.

Why on earth would Hertl accept a trade to Columbus or Detroit? The only reason I could see Hertl moving is if it were to a perennial playoff team in a good location, like Boston, maybe Florida.Meh I’d prefer to shop Hertl around to a team like CBJ or DET. I think both of them are going to be playoff teams next year with health and just their young guys taking another step. I don’t like BOS pool so I’d rather keep him and let him shelter whatever young guys we have than trade him for Lohrei basically straight up.Why on earth would Hertl accept a trade to Columbus or Detroit?
