JUST GET FUTURES PLEASE. We don't need anymore solid bottom 6 guys to help us win a few meaningless games.

I doubt MN wants his contract. If Greenway happens it should be for Gregor 1 for 1. Both are TERRIBLE players so that's the only way this would make sense.Pagnotta is a hack. He’s literally just repeating what other journalists have said. If I had to guess just based on the links, it’s for Labanc.
Gregor for Greenway would be dumb as hell for SJ. Greenway has 2 more years after this at 3M per and offers basically the same that most of our guys do. I don’t like it but Labanc for Greenway is basically the only way I accept Greenway.I doubt MN wants his contract. If Greenway happens it should be for Gregor 1 for 1. Might get to see Grier officially turn this team into his clown show once Meier is gone.
I’ll let Grier know.Gregor for Greenway would be dumb as hell for SJ. Greenway has 2 more years after this at 3M per and offers basically the same that most of our guys do. I don’t like it but Labanc for Greenway is basically the only way I accept Greenway.

That's assuming they even offered Morrow, who knows. If Carolina is out, then they must not have had a real offer. Morrow + 1st is better than literally anything Vegas could offer, so Carolina must not have offered it. That’s… not a good sign, to put things lightly.
That’s my point—they must not have. That's assuming they even offered Morrow, who knows.
At some point, 3 different coaches being down on a player has to mean something about said player. I've been a staunch Labanc defender and think his underlying numbers tell a different story than his production. At the same time, games aren't strictly a spreadsheet exercise. Blending both of those is what the good evaluators do rather than just rely on the crutch of the grossly overvalued WAR statistic in all sports.
I’d say it’s pretty lateral at best would you consider contracts.Yeah I guess if we lose LaBanc and Gregor and replace with Greenway and Fabbro then I suppose that’s an upgrade..
I can't see how Vegas could be a finalist if STL offered 2x1st round picks and Grier told them to keep their jack unless he is either clueless about talent evaluation or Vegas has offered crapload of stuff.
id guess the 1sts the blues offered didnt include their own, so it was likely 20 something picks from stl as well.Must be like 3x1st round picks and then some. As VGK pics are going to be very late 1sts if they get Meier as they were already stacked, traded to get Barbashev and then they would have Meier.
Its really not at all. Greenway is brutally bad with a big cap hit.Yeah I guess if we lose LaBanc and Gregor and replace with Greenway and Fabbro then I suppose that’s an upgrade..
Given Karlsson is gone prior to the start of next season one way or another, don't think contracts really matter a ton at this point. We are going to be swimming in cap space for a few years. I will say that getting real NHL players to insulate guys like Eklund, Bordeleau, Timo prospects, 2023 1st round pick, etc. with will be important. Not only to learn/protect/mentor but also just to have someone to truly beat out for a spot compared to the way the org has been since 2019 where the youngsters got jobs by default (and honestly has gone back even further than that when I think of the year where Hertl, Nieto, and Freddie Hamilton made the team out of camp because there was no NHL caliber depth forwards to be found.I’d say it’s pretty lateral at best would you consider contracts.
Helps the tankIts really not at all. Greenway is brutally bad with a big cap hit
Just playing the AHL players we have now is just as effective and doesnt cost capspace and a second rounderHelps the tank
I don’t think it’s given that Karlsson is gone and even if he is it’ll be basically an even cap in cap out move.Given Karlsson is gone prior to the start of next season one way or another, don't think contracts really matter a ton at this point.
