I think they only got rid of the ones where "if player re-signs with the new team" type conditions.

I find it very odd Labanc hasn't ever gone on waivers. Both Vrana and Kapanen are much better players and they had shorter leashes.

There is quite literally not a facet where Kapanen is better than Labanc actually (points per game, possession, both of those adjusted for quality of teammates, etc.). And Vrana went on waivers after a bout with substance abuse issues.

Strickland is a hack. Basically Pagnotta. He has sources with STL but barely. Both basically just repeat what other insiders have said with their opinion attached.

Yeah and we know they atleast offered the two late firsts. I wouldnt consider that strong on its own, but with Snuggered or Bolduc thats a fantastic offer.

I really hope some offers leak after because I want to see if Grier actually is making good valuations on assets

Getting to this point there is no way a deal happens today. The first retired jersey is a big deal for the franchise and there is no need to make a deal beforehand especially with Meier’s “UBI”. Other teams will acknowledge that as well.

If you don’t think it’s a big deal just look at the crowd yesterday which looked bigger than any game this season.

Yep and if it was two firsts plus Bolduc okay maybe but two firsts plus basically every single other prospect in the Blues pipeline? Nah not worth it.
