How tall were the last two Norris winners? How could Mike Grier pass up the chance to draft a 5’8” defenseman 11th overall? Especially since successful NHL bluelines these days are just overrun by smurfs.

He’s also just wrongHow tall were the last two Norris winners?
There’s no way he’s 5’11 regardless of what he’s listed at. Dude looks extremely tiny on the iceHe’s probably 5’11. I think you’re thinking of Hutson

Seems like more of a bot response than actual analytical thought. He’s probably 5’11. I think you’re thinking of Hutson
Quite a bit taller than three apples high. How tall were the last two Norris winners?
Should really make a macro for Hodge responsesSeems like more of a bot response than actual analytical thought.
Yeah, absolutely no way a team with a top-4 comprised of guys 5’9”, 5’11”, 6’0”, and 6’1” would ever win a Stanley Cup. Just impossible. How could Mike Grier pass up the chance to draft a 5’8” defenseman 11th overall? Especially since successful NHL bluelines these days are just overrun by smurfs.
preachin' to Gargamel...Yeah, absolutely no way a team with a top-4 comprised of guys 5’9”, 5’11”, 6’0”, and 6’1” would ever win a Stanley Cup. Just impossible.
As we all know Sam Girard played a pivotal role in that victory.Yeah, absolutely no way a team with a top-4 comprised of guys 5’9”, 5’11”, 6’0”, and 6’1” would ever win a Stanley Cup. Just impossible.
Good point. I mean, I’m retrospect, the Avs are just lucky that Girard even got injured. If Girard had stayed healthy, then the Avs probably never would have won at all.As we all know Sam Girard played a pivotal role in that victory.

Fair point. But let's be fair here, when Girard was healthy for last year's playoffs, he was absolutely eaten alive, Avs fans wanted him traded in the offseason.

Wait, what? Some team will actually pay Jones to play for them?Seattle isn’t going anywhere with tank commander Martin Jones at the helm.
We’ll be lucky to get a 4thWait, what? Some team will actually pay Jones to play for them?
It's looking like Grier will be able to get a 2nd from Hill in a trade, more and more. Hopefully, the Sharks will trade a 2nd from a weak draft year for one in a strong draft year as Hill's tenure with the Sharks come to a close.
Literally yes. Girard's injury gave Byram, a far superior defenseman, a bigger role.Good point. I mean, I’m retrospect, the Avs are just lucky that Girard even got injured. If Girard had stayed healthy, then the Avs probably never would have won at all.
Girard being out was the reason that Jack Johnson, a far inferior defenseman, was playing at all.Literally yes. Girard's injury gave Byram, a far superior defenseman, a bigger role.
If the best thing you can say about Girard is that at least he's better than Jack Johnson, and Girard is basically the best case scenario for a defenseman of Mateychuk's size, it was probably a good thing that we turned 11th overall into three picks instead of putting all our eggs in the Denton Mateychuk basket. That's all I'm saying.Girard being out was the reason that Jack Johnson, a far inferior defenseman, was playing at all.
