Kuzy's nose was red...but not from a high stick!

Kings had to work for that one, good playoff intensity, nice to see them not back down and finish checks all night, even the 'kids' like Vilardi were getting in there and starting shit, no one was even scared of Wilson--he put his hand on Fiala's throat and he didn't even flinch

Gavrikov and Roy is god tier, i had no idea they'd play off each other so well--two heady guys with good instincts if not raw offensive physical skills so it works so, so well in all zones.

4 game point streak for Bustfield

Real strong game for Copley, he didn't see many shots but quite a few were lethal.

Great chart and accurate! I have no idea what it means, but it looks like Edler and Durzi were the most impactful defensive players in the game.......

But at this point there's no use going back and forth. The entire premise of the original post went right over your head anyway. You think he had a great game, I'm happy for you. That was a really nice assist.

Again, I'm a huge fan of QB. Always defended his potential and still think he'll be a great player, but I can also call a spade a spade. He struggled early on and as the original post said, I can see it giving the QB haters further ammo in their rants.

I really only noticed MacEwen on 1 shift. He made a nice hustle play, promptly Stoll’ed it about 6 feet over the net, intercepted a clearing attempt and passed it 3 feet behind Doughty.

So whoever said he’d be another Andreoff was spot on!

This is what happens when Blake builds a small soft roster; the Kings have to depend on one Lemieux or one MacEwen.

Look at the Ducks - they have Comtois, Carrick and Beaulieu.

The Wild - Reaves, Foligno, Duhane, and Middleton.

I can go on a on…Blake needs to start drafting size and character because both the Habs and Caps ran over the Kings.

Even though some of the Kings top prospects are big; Vilardi, Byfield and Kupari; they aren’t overly physical besides Ras. Spence and Turcotte are even smaller.

I love this team but we all know what’s going to happen in the playoffs and what Blake will need to address this off season. They are going to get bullied - the forwards are too small or not physical.

Btw Lemieux had a great first game in Philly, plus 3 and 5 hits and one really good scoring chance. But TM wouldn’t play him, so…

I was a bit worried about mid way through the second because it felt like previous years where the Kings dominate play and shots, can’t bury one and end up losing. Pp seems off a bit, but also both units seem like they’re passing up shots, hopefully they’ll start firing on next few games.

Yeah, that was a weird long look at a possible high stick. Thats the 2nd time I've seen it, and the only two times. WTF is wrong with the refs? And I'm pretty sure he pinched his nose to get it that red. 1st goal by Wash was a bad goal by Copley no matter how you look at it. Soft as AF. Good tough win against a very dirty Caps team. Don't remember Dowd being such an A-hole when he was with the Kings.

The one extra card we have with Gavrikov is term. We can go 8 years. Yes that’s a big risk but his game will age well, the cap will be much higher then also. It MIGHT make the difference depending on what they think he can make on the open market. It’s one of those risky moves that’ll either be brilliant or a complete disaster. It’s also a term Blake could give out knowing it likely ends up someone else’s problem.

I’m not saying they should… just could.

I hope people bitching about the QB ‘own’ goal have actually now watched the replays.
