Flyers are putting a stable of good shooters together, which bodes well for the PP down the road.
Tippett, Foerster, Gauthier, Attard. TK if he stays.
Now if they could just get some players who could get these guys pucks in prime sniper spots.

Frost, York have that potential, but up and down. TDA has to make a big jump on defense.
Brink has to get 100% and show he can skate at a NHL level, otherwise he'll become the next Marody, a great AHL scorer who can't skate well enough for the NHL.
Brink and Frost are the 2 best playmakers in this organization, and no one else can convince me otherwise.

At an organizational level, they rarely target high IQ play makers.

I've gotten the impression from a number of his comments that Torts didn't realize how dysfunctional the organization was until he was here for a few months and could see it from the inside. And it wouldn't surprise me if he's been talking with Briere for a while about changes they would like to make.
stop, he knew 100%. A guy like him does his due diligence and then some.

All he is doing is covering his behind and separating himself from it all. Putting it out there so he doesn't get the blame for a poor team during his tenure.

that is a huge problem no?

If they are really goin got rebuild then Ivan TK Laughton Hart all need to go. They will also need to fire the coach. He can't be a part of this going forward.

Hayes with 50% retention will bring back an asset or 2. Tony D will get something next deadline; if not moved prior.

Saneheim and Risto are unmovable at this time imo. Laughable they gave a guy like Sanheim 8 years and 6 million plus. Though if he is legit top pairing dman like many say then he should be easy to move.

What #Flyers should have done: 22 Deadline - Trade Risto for 1st 22 Summer - Sign Gaudreau, do not acquire TDA 22 Draft - Draft Franchise RHD Jiricek 23 Deadline - Trade Sanheim for 1st Instead we have $16.35 mil committed to Sanheim, Risto, TDA and no gamebreaking forwards

This off-season would be a pretty good time to sell off Laughton. The Flyers whether they know it or not are pumping his perceived value with ice time/usage.

That’s not their way. They decrease value of assets first and then sell.

You apparently already turned down an opportunity to get a first rounder for Laughton a few years ago. It would be amazing to see this organization continue to pass up value on an otherwise depth player because of “intangibles”.

They say they are going to move out guys that don't fit the timeline, except the guys on short/shorter terms contracts all seem to be in Torts' good graces - Laughton*, Provy, TK, etc. Cates will get an extension this summer. Tippett this year or next year. I can't wait to see how this goes.

*Hayes has the same term but will be much more difficult to move - Mod NTC, Huge Cap hit, the works.

If you get rid of those guys we lose our status of "hard to play against"

But what if the land Bedard? That changes their timeline, doesn’t it? I would certainly hold on to Hart in that case ( really, I think I hold onto him anyway, as 5 years from now we will need a good goalie and Hart will be in his prime), and maybe want to keep TK then too. If they are moving TK they need to bring back a number 1 D with low mileage in the win Bedard scenario. I think if they get Bedard all of the team building calculus changes.

If you keep TK then you will pay him 7-8 million for 8 years after the 2025 season. No thanks.

Trade em all, use that to build around Bedard. Those guys will al be almost useless beofre the flyers are ready even with Bedard. Took 88 what 5 years?

Even with Bedard, they would be several years away.
