Silf has looked like a shell of his former self this year (though not quite as cooked as I was worried during the first half of the season), but it should be noted that he's on track to play his most games in a season since 2015-16.

Silf's play has been odd. Shot out of a cannon to start the 2021-22 season, but then got COVID. He didn't look like himself afterwards. This year, I've actually liked his game. He's probably one of the more trusted defensive forwards on the team to where he's pitted against the opposing team's top line or babysitting in the top-6.

Lundestrom has disappointed me the most this season. Silf-Lundy were dynamic to start the 2021-22 season and Lundy carried that play all season. I was expecting that duo to shine this year, but came away meh with Lundy and happy with Silf.

The next 3 games are against playoff teams or a team fighting for a playoff spot. Good times.

And all on the road, meaning they get to put their line out after we show our hand.

0 judgment at all, but has this ever happened before? I've only seen players take a game or two off on the day their children are born/immediately after.

Makes me think that, as a player, a season like this is probably the best time for your kid to be born. Happy that Terry will be able to spend as much time with his family as he needs, and that it will benefit the tank.

Wasn't the pregnancy announcement in November or something? She might only be 7 months along, or less. Could be looking at a lengthy NICU stay (or worse), and you'd want to be there for every second.

I was thinking the same thing and kinda scared/worried just how premie the baby will be with the Nov announcement. I don't want to think about the worse outcome.

The announcement came in November, but (and disclaimer I have no idea how pregnant someone should look at any given moment) but it sure seemed like she was showing pretty well at that time, so guessing she was much further along than 3 months at that point.

Hazy was talking about Fowler's minutes in the last game and mentioned that Cam was getting full reps in practice too because the Ducks were only carrying 6 D. So there's no way for anyone to take a break. We've also gone on road trips with just barely enough guys on the roster to play. This season at times feels a bit "controller disconnected" for PV.

Really only 2 reasons why I think he could be doing that: Either he's forcing Eakins not to roll 11-7, or there just aren't any reinforcements to be had because everyone in San Diego is hurt. Other than that, I'm finding it difficult to make sense of it.

If he can't crack this current abysmal lineup what makes you think anyone else would want him? (or think he's worth it?)
If that were true he’d be gone
FWIW, Verbeek was supposedly asking for a second round pick for him (article's in French):

I don't know how much to believe that, considering what he eventually settled on for Klingberg, but then it wasn't as urgent and it does seem like we hear about his unreasonable asking prices fairly often. May also be possible that the difficulty of offloading Klingberg ran him out of time to make a more realistic deal on Comtois? Though with how early the deadline deals started this year that raises its own concerns.

What a bullshit article. Comtois is the most bizarrely beloved lazy loser in hockey history. Why is the narrative that he's being mistreated? Lavoie ought to watch some Ducks games before accusing the team of mistreating a player.
