No it suggests what is expected. Z is on pace for 30+ goals . Pretty damn good for a playmaking C.Goals above expected. Is that a way of suggesting these players have been lucky?

It’s usually a combination of luck and skill. The expected goals number only has to do with shot location, it doesn’t factor in shooting talent. Typically, if I see a good shooter on that list, then I consider it sustainable. If a bad shooter is on that list, then I consider them luckier.Goals above expected. Technically it is saying that Zegras has scored 8 goals, but the cumulative number of expected goals based on his shoot volume and location is only 3.1 goals. No it suggests what is expected. Z is on pace for 30+ goals . Pretty damn good for a playmaking C.
Seems like he may have shared his thoughts with the team:I would love to hear what Verbeek thinks about the team right now and what decisions he's making with young players.

Not true; we're actually #30 in hits, so 2 teams are even softer"Hey guys I completely f***ed you guys over in terms of the roster AND made the softest team in NHL history but you need to play better.... Oh yeah and I always kept the crappy coach"
Benoit effect. Not true; we're actually #30 in hits, so 2 teams are even softer
That's what happens when you never have the puckThink Ahlers or Hazy said last night that we have taken the most PIMs in the league. When you consider that fact with how few hits we have, it’s a pretty crazy combo lol
