Uh oh, are the Habs about to get Verbeeked? 2024 1st + Regenda for Caufield, book it.

I'm fairly certain Verbeek has been to a few out-of-town games this season, I wouldn't read into it.
Since Verbeek has such a history of winning trades... Lol

Comtois for Anderson
I was actually thinking this too. Comtois being scratched Makes no sense. Anderson is another veteran and also has size and speed( finally get our nino neid) and GMPV might like Ragenda a lot more than he does comtois.

Not a fan of Anderson. Too injury prone. Other than that he does check a number of boxes for PV. Size. RS. Makes too much money IMO.

With no retention I'd imagine we'd have to pay someone to take him, with 50% retention maybe we get a pick and/or low level prospect
Has it gotten to the pt where established 40-50 pt players have to be added onto in order to move a market level deal? I don't think the Ducks have any interest in moving him.

What’s the ask on Henrique, with no retention and with 50% retention?
It's tough to say what his value is. We would likely have to pay to get rid of him if we don't retain, but I don't see a scenario where we would do that unless the price is very small. Therefore, we would most likely either have to retain a good amount on him, or we would have to take another negative value contract back (one with similar or shorter term).

People have completely lost perspective on Henrique I think.
Yeeeah, he may be streaky as all hell, but he's still a top-6 forward.

I do wonder if 50% retention would bump him up to a very low 1st...I dunno if that's too much to expect for a guy who's not definitively a 1LW.

I don't agree that the Ducks wouldn't be interested in moving him barring a large overpayment, though. If a team's willing to pay a 1st, why the heck not?

Sometimes he is. Sometimes he isn't. That's part of the problem.

He was waived and no one claimed him. This might still be the case if he was waived today, but I think it would say more about the cap issues leaguewide than anything else.

To your point, the streakiness makes things more difficult to gauge. But also, the extremes of the streakiness exacerbate that. When he's on, he's legitimately a top 6 guy. When he's not, you wonder why the hell he's on the ice. I don't remember that being the case up until the season he was waived, which makes me think it's a motivation problem being on a bottom feeding team.

Does he play LW more than center now?

Because we need to add top 6 forwards not subtract?
