Maybe an unpopular opinion but I hope we keep Henrique, unless the deal is a clear win for us. He’s streaky as hell but when he’s good, he’s great and he is always jumping into scrums to protect guys. Feel the same way about Vatrano already.

I also think Henrique will be worth more next year as a pure rental, salary retained.

Shattenkirk and Klingberg can be shipped on the first boat out, though.

agreed. Rico has easily been one of our better players even with a slow first few games

Rico is just your can kind of do anything type of player. Valuable to have, but if there’s an offer that blows GMPV out of the water I’d expect us to move on from him.

Yeah, hes streaky but hes one of the few guys that you can put in your top 6 and won't look out of place on most nights.

We have some serious dudes built for 3v3 and a couple borderline sure-thing players in the shootout. I love when we go to overtime/shootout, so fun to watch.

I figured they'd get good at 3 on 3 OT because no more Getzlaf who was one of the slowest topline centers for many years. I liked Getzlaf in 4 on 4 OT but when they introduced 3 on 3 OT his lack of speed was exposed and the Ducks seemed to lose 90% of 3 on 3 OTs with Getzlaf out there.

i don't think Simmonds is that guy anymore.

He's better than Leason and Jones. Definitely cam still fight, hit and score some garbage goals. Doesn't fit the Verbeek model

Obviously small sample size but he and White were great on the 3rd pair together.

They both should get a pretty good look post-trade-deadline, and if they keep it up they should absolutely both be brought back. It would be a nice problem solved to come into next season with our third pair already established.

In a vacuum, I would agree with you. But I’d rather have him actually get to play rather than sit (I don’t care if Beaulieu sits or not). Not to mention, if we keep him up for too long, he will need waivers again.

I think it has more to do with the other team having the puck more in this case...and getting stuck out there too long due to getting cycled on and being useless defensively.
