He's recovering from a recent hip surgery....

I know that. He's on a conditioning stint with the Gulls and played 3 games. Usually, that's the max unless the Ducks requested for an additional 2 more games. Carrick didn't play in last night's game, which would have been his 4th game in the AHL if he played.

He's probably resting because it's his first time playing in a long ass time.

You can just say, "I don't know."
I mean try taking that much time off the ice after playing daily. You play 1 game and you're sore the next day. It takes time. If I don't get on the ice for a couple week and go back on it's tough... I can't imagine skating even more than I do than taking a random break.

Again, stop thinking your voice matters when you have no actual information. Also, again, He's played 3 AHL games, which is the max amount of games allowed for a conditioning stint. There's no info about getting an extra 2 games or stay the max of 14 games, which is done via request.

Since Carrick hasn't been recalled, then I can presume the NHL club has asked for the extension, otherwise, Carrick would be subjected to waivers.

Please, if you don't have any info and don't read for comprehension to give a known answer, then don't answer. smh

He is literally resting, who cares where it is because he is coming off surgery. If he's resting in Anaheim or San Diego I'm sure he's going to get his games in before he plays in the NHL. It's not rocket science, post a 5 paragraph essay about the dates and times and appointments he had:laugh:.... on second thought, please don't.

Goes from PKing to the minors when bum Leason does nothing but turn the puck over and move like a ship.... a soft ship.

McTavish needs to be at center. He clearly plays better at that position while Lundestrom has been disappointing. He's lost some of his speed from last season and isn't as effective. I think Carrick should start on wing until he's up to speed. I would run:

Henrique-Zegras-Vatrano
Comtois-Strome-Terry
Regenda-McTavish-Silfverberg
Jones-Lundestrom-Carrick

Man cam fowler has 1 assist and is a -6 this year…. And we still have him for 3 more years. That is ugly…. Sorry I know we’re not supposed to talk down on captain cam
He’s not cut out to play the minutes he’s playing, and certainly not with the players he’s playing with.

He would look better on a different team. Still, I wish we weren’t on the hook for the rest of his deal and wouldn’t be surprised if they move him at some point.

It’s going to be a numbers game at some point with Mintuyukov, Zellweger, etc coming and the need to surround them with physical players

Agreed on all 3 points.

He’s going to be too old when our rebuild is done, and not what we need on the back end.

Next year is a forward draft, 2024 looks like a heavy dmen draft. I imagine he’ll be moved next deadline or at the draft.

2023 hoping for a top 5 pick(forward), 2024 I’m expecting 6-14 pick(dmen)

Maybe swap Henrique and Comtois. I like that bottom 6 mix, though you know Eakins is going to want to plug Grant back in when he's healthy.

None of those guys will be ready for top pairing play for most likely the remainder of Fowler’s contract, or mid-pair for at least 2 years. Jettisoning him just forces bringing in a free agent to play that role.

Not saying Fowler is playing well, but a lot of that is on team construction. How many defensemen do we send elsewhere to improve because they are given the proper role to develop in, and just as if not more importantly are given the 4-5 years it takes a non-lottery pick defenseman to learn to play the game?
