Head of Flyers medical staff ?
Please tell me some know what this is from !
I don’t defend them as I think their general tough hockey guy brand & general inability to evaluate what’s going on out on the ice pushes players to want to play through injury while they’re oblivious to negative impact it’s having short & long term.
But I don’t really think they’re necessarily at fault here.
I don't know... Joel hasn't played in nearly 2 months. I've been going through disc issues since late February and knew within 3 weeks if surgery was required or not. Thankfully not required for me.. but i'm still going to physical therapy for it.
A lot of the Flyers doctor’s (same with most of the sports teams here) are based out UPenn which like one of the best hospital systems in the country. So I’m inclined to think it’s not them but rather the people they give the information/recommendations to. You can only lead a horse to water…
Absolutely...it's always been on the Flyers end for the medical issues...not the unaffliated area Doctors.
This is the same organization that poisoned it's medical personnel with toxic zamboni fumes, so we should definitely not be surprised lol
This could really put a dent into the Flyers contending.
Couldnt of had this surgery 6 weeks ago ???
Unless you start the season on a hot streak, then you can use it to justify decisions years later.Don't worry guys, games in Oct and Nov don’t count.
I mean, ofc a chance that say Couturier especially could come in at same level as before... but usually with any injury takes some time to be back at 100%.
It’s the nature of the sport for guys to get seriously dinged. Check the Bruins injured list-Marchand, McAvoy and others. The Caps have Backstrom, Wilson and Oshie . It’s a rare club that doesn’t have significant players with major injuries at the end of the year.
Oh no no. Ellis never had surgery. He’s going to rehab an injury that took him out for the year. But Hayes had enough surgeries for the whole team alone. So, we have back surgery for Couturier, Pelvic surgery for both Ellis and Hayes, and now spinal surgery for our "young" semi-star, Farabee. Why the HELL are we not blowing up this mess?!

Make no mistake , this team is tanking next year.
Yeah, Alex has gone gung ho on blaming the front office for all of the Flyers injuries & it’s rather embarrassing. It’s the nature of the sport for guys to get seriously dinged. that looks like chucks "ideal" roster on opening nite..This could really put a dent into the Flyers contending.

Well in the 70s they just drank beer and played through injuries bc they were real men...thats the Flyers way. Youre telling me that same philosophy shouldnt be used in 2022?Their approach towards injuries has caused injuries.
They are at fault for what they caused. Pointing out they are at fault for the thing they are at fault for isn't embarrassing.

Not like the game has changed at all or anything.
